A Message from our Pastor and Teacher
This Sunday is Pride Sunday ~~ "And"
It is still the season of Pentecost. Pentecost affirms diversity and multiplicity. Over and over again, our scripture passage from Acts uses the conjunction “and.” Our God is an And God. God functions with the conjunction “and.” On this Pride Sunday, we will specifically celebrate the ways in which the Pentecost And is made manifest in the life of one of our families in our faith community. Emma Malonelord recently released a commercial for the army, a commercial which celebrates the And of creation.

How is climate change already affecting the earth?
Nineteen of the 20 hottest years ever have occurred since 2001. A study by the National Climate Assessment (globalchange.gov) reports that the world is warming, global sea level is rising, and extreme weather events are becoming more frequent and more severe. These changes have already resulted in a wide range of impacts across every region of the country and many sectors of the economy. We'll examine a few highlights over the next few weeks.
