Delaware State Chamber Members:

Chamber Update
Primary Election Day in Delaware is a few short weeks away on Thursday, September 6. The outcome will determine the candidates seen on the ballot in the General Election on November 6. With four State Senate retirements and ten House retirements this year, 2018 will be remembered as the year with a change of about 20 percent in the General Assembly. By contrast, most election cycles rarely see a 10 percent change in membership. The State Chamber has sent each candidate a list of questions so that we can better understand the issues they’ll be championing, and which align with the interests of job creators statewide. The Chamber will use this questionnaire as a basis for candidate endorsement and PAC contributions.
News You Can Use
Today the survey of consumer expectations was released, and on Tuesday we can expect data on household debt. We’ll also see numbers on retail sales, jobless claims, housing starts and building permits, and data on consumer sentiment.
Final Thoughts
If you haven't already, be sure to register your foursome for this year's Chamber Chase Golf Tournament. This event benefits our Political Action Committee, The PAC, which gives State Chamber members an opportunity to contribute to candidates who understand the importance of a strong business community and a healthy economic climate.
