A lot of hard work went into the 2022 Primary Election, and today we celebrate our successes across Texas!

Speaker Phelan carried out a robust strategy for the Primary Election focused on supporting Republican House incumbents, growing the GOP majority, and making inroads in South Texas.

He hit the ground running at the end of 2021 traveling across the state to raise millions of dollars and devoted countless resources to critical races. Leading up to the Primary Election, he engaged in multiple matching contribution campaigns to support GOP house candidates, and made polling location visits to support GOTV efforts.This is an unprecedented undertaking by a Texas House speaker.

UNPRECEDENTED EFFORTS

traveled approximately 20,000 miles across the state and made campaign stops in 30 cities;

raised more than $9 MILLION over the last sixteen months;

spent more than $2 MILLION to support candidates with critical races;

partnered with TREPAC, Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND, Charles Butt Public Education PAC, TEXPAC, AGC of Texas PAC, TSCRA PAC, VPAC, TNP PAC, Texans for Responsible Government (TRG) and Associated Republicans of Texas (ART) to carry out matching contribution campaigns which resulted in a combined total of $750,000;

supported Project RedTX in the recruitment of 135 Republican candidates to run in county and local level races across South Texas.
