Reminder: Process to Request Mid-Quarter Changes to Distance Learning
If you wish to request a change to your child’s instructional setting mid-quarter, either long term or temporary distance learning, please complete this form.

Explain in the comments that you are requesting either a long-term (to the end of the semester) or a temporary move to distance learning, the reason for the change, and the requested duration of the change. This information is very important to our attendance office. You will be notified of approval along with the classroom teacher and distance learning teacher (if applicable).

Scholastic Book Fair December 3-11

Meridian is excited to host a Scholastic book fair starting Thursday! The book fair will be held in the Primary MPR to allow for fresh air and social distancing.

In-person students can shop on the day that they go to the library for specials. Teachers will remind parents and students what day that will be.

Distance learners and parents of in-person students who want to shop with their children can sign up for a time to come and shop on this sign-up genius. Only 4 families may shop at a time. Families should enter from the exterior door near the Little Free Library and bench.

Not comfortable coming to school? Shop online anytime between November 28 and December 11 and the school still gets the same proceeds. There is a cool new virtual fair that lets you feel like you are really there.

How should we pay?

Due to the national coin shortage, we ask families to pay with exact change, check, or digital payment (credit cards or e-wallet). We encourage families whose children will shop on their own during the school day to create an e-wallet for your child. An e-wallet allows you to add funds for your child to shop. Any leftover funds can be used on the Scholastic Store or Virtual Book Fair as well. Find details on how to set up an e-wallet.
Asynchronous Learning for All Students December 11

As discussed in a prior survey, we will hold five asynchronous days between now and the end of the school year to give teachers and students the chance to catch up on work.

The first asynchronous learning day (and the only one this semester) will be Friday, December 11. There will be no live Zoom classes on that day. We ask that students stay home where possible.

If, however, your child needs to be on campus that day, we will have staff onsite to monitor students while they complete work via their individual devices. Please complete this form by Dec. 7 for each child who will require on-campus supervision so that we know how many staff members we will need to supervise.
Free Meal Participation through End of School Year
Are your students enjoying the delicious free breakfasts and lunches from our Meridian Cafe Crew?

We are currently operating under the Seamless Summer Operation Waiver now through the end of the school year.

This waiver allows us to offer Breakfast and Lunch meals at no cost to enrolled students and children in our area that are 18 years and younger.

Find menus, distance learning pick up info, and more on the website.
