I hope you were able to enjoy the holiday weekend, taking advantage of the last bit of summer as fall fast approaches. In 1894, Labor Day became an official federal holiday. Former U.S. Department of Labor Secretary Tom Perez said of this day, "...Labor Day gives us an opportunity to recognize the invaluable contributions that working men and women make to our nation, our economy and our collective prosperity."
