THE TASTE OF SOUTH BEACH LANDS ALONG THE GLENN DALE, SEABROOK, LANHAM CORRIDOR
New "white table cloth" restaurant provides an eclectic mix of American & International cuisine...

Some of the best recipes take a time. We originally got word this dine spot was "coming to PGC" almost two years ago. Things took a minute, but the doors are finally open for SoBe Restaurant & Lounge. Located at East Gate Shopping Center in Lanham Seabrook, SoBe brings upscale American Contemporary cuisine - flavored with a South Beach vibe. Debuting last week, it is a another welcomed addition to the PGC dine scene. The Chef is Marc Barber who comes from Brio Tuscan Grill in Annapolis.

SOON-TO-OPEN AC HOTEL AT NAT SECOND IN THE COUNTRY, FIRST IN THE EAST, ALL IN PGC

Once the Aloft NH, this new completely European-inspired prop will debut next month...
The new AC Hotel Washington DC at National Harbor is tagged to open next month (replacing the former Aloft at the corner of Waterfront and American Way). As you may recall, the once "Aloft" was acquired by Ryman, parent of Gaylord Hotels. Among other things, at 192 rooms, the prop is now purposed with serving as the official overflow for big sis - Gaylord National.

According to Toni Stoeckl, Marriott's VP Lifestyle Brands, "AC Hotels brand boasts a modern, European look and feel with Spanish roots that will complement the culturally diverse and international flavor of Washington, D.C." Aside from its affiliation with Gaylord, what makes this all very special is that AC National Harbor will be the first to debut in the Mid-Atlantic area, and just the second to open in the US, joining the very popular AC New Orleans.
SUCCOTASH IS ON THE MENU AT NATIONAL HARBOR THIS SPRING
Restaurant to feature southern cuisine of celebrated Chef Edward Lee...
The dine scene at National Harbor continues to flower. Coming this spring to 184 Waterfront Street is a new concept from industry veterans Michael Reginbogin and Jason Berry - deliciously named Succotash.

Here's the "meat-n-potatoes" behind this new dine spot. Developed by Reginbogin & Berry's newly-formed KNEAD Hospitality+Design, Succotash promises "inspired southern cuisine" crafted by culinary partner - the acclaimed Chef Edward Lee. Lee is one of the hottest stars on the foodie scene (through cooking and his own restaurant endeavors), who's innovative cuisine has twice earned him a finalist nomination for the James Beard Foundation Awards Best Chef: Southeast in 2011, 2012 and 2013. He has been featured in Esquire, Bon Apptit, GQ, Gourmet among many other publications; reigned victorious on Food Network's "Iron Chef America," and has appeared on Cooking Channel's "Foodography," CBS "Early Show" and NBC "The Today Show".

Although this is KNEAD's first entry at the Nat and Prince George's, the principals are no strangers to PGC waterside. As Regional Director of Operations and later COO with Rosa Mexicano Brands Inc., Barry was instrumental in the opening of Rosa Mexicano National Harbor.
