WINTER WONDERS: THREE PGC SITES NAMED, A PGC ENCLAVE FEATURED
Pyramid Atlantic, Gardens Ice House and Pennyroyal make Washingtonian mag's "winter must" lists, community of Moyaone Reserve featured...
Prince George's County got some positive ink on the pages of WASHINGTONIAN magazine last month. In its January "Things To Do This Winter" issue, PGC is repped on four occasions.

In the magazine's "Learning Something New" section, PYRAMID ATLANTIC ARTS CENTER in Hyattsville was applauded as a winter haven and hub of bookmaking and the paper arts.

Among its "Ice Picks: 13 Places Where You Can Lace Up", the GARDENS ICE HOUSE (GIH) in Laurel was among those suggested across the DMV. GIH features three indoor rinks, and an outdoor rink.

Making the dining "Ten to Watch" (which features the restaurant openings magazine food critics are most looking forward to this year), is PGC's  PENNYROYAL STATION in Mount Rainier. Scheduled to open this month, Pennyroyal is located at 3310 Rhode Island Avenue in the Singer Building. It comes to us from the brilliant minds of Chef Jesse Miller & restaurateur Erin Edwards (DC's Bar Pilar & Cafe Saint-Ex) and beverage aficionado Garrick Lumsden (formerly with Passion Food Group).

WHAT, THERE'S MORE? Yes...also in this issue is a wonderful feature, INTO THE WOODS. Its about the innovative Maryland enclave of mid-century-modern homes in the historic area of MOYAONE RESERVE. Located in Accokeek, Moyaone Reserve was founded in the 1950's from a portion of Hard Bargain Farm. It is unique in many ways including the fact that it is connect to Piscataway Park, a historic national park that is also home to the Accokeek Foundation and the National Colonial Farm

POSTERIZED: MAJOR PGC SIGN BLITZ AT BWI MARSHALL AIRPORT UNDERWAY
"ExperiencePrinceGeorges" takes center stage at BWI with major signage, rotation on digital network, and takeover of baggage claim...
It's the region's busiest airport and a key travel connection to and through Prince George's County.

So, if you happen to be at  BWI Marshall Airport, it's hard to miss us.  T he CVB's branding effort for Prince George's is on full display at the airport.

There are two bold, ultra-large wall wraps, with complimenting messaging, on opposing walls (one pictured) at one of high-traffic intersections in the airport. And, around the airport, on BWI's digital network displays are a series of rotating ads of PGC.

NO, IT DOESN'T STOP THERE: In addition, we have a "signage takeover" currently underway in Southwest Baggage Claim. The elaborate "brand" application blankets the entire area with a variety of bright and colorful PGC images complimented by the ExperiencePrinceGeorges URL.

With this captive audience (BWI is the busiest airport in the region with over 70k passengers per day), the purpose is to introduce would-be travelers to the nearby wonders of Prince George's, while elevating the county's profile as a world-class destination. Experience. Expand. Explore Prince George's County!

DALI DOC PLAYS OGT: FILM EXPLORES THE COMPLEX WORLD OF FAMED ARTIST
Playing at the historic Old Greenbelt Theater this month, documentary takes an exhaustive look at life of world-renowned artist Salvador Dali...
Artist, genius, madman...or all of the above?  Our favorite art house, the historic  OLD GREENBELT THEATRE will host the documentary - SALVADOR DALI: IN SEARCH OF IMMORTALITY, February 10 and 11.

The film takes an exhaustive journey through the life and work of the Spanish Surrealist artist, along with his longtime muse and collaborator Gala. The film spans 60 years of the artist's life and career until his death in 1989.

Known for his flamboyant character, absurd theatrics, and trademark curled mustache, the film provides an inner-vision into Dali's life. It features many of the painter's masterpieces as well as his lesser-known works, previously unpublished photographs, and rare archival footage of the artist at work, the film reaches beyond a portrayal of DalĂ as the larger-than-life figure he was.
