In its only Washington DC-area appearance, the McDonald's 13th annual INSPIRATION CELEBRATION GOSPEL TOUR will visit Prince George's on July 27.

This year's tour features an award-winning lineup. On stage will be urban gospel artist and pastor Tye Tribbett, R&B powerhouse KeKe Wyatt, hip-hop contemporary artist, Sir the Baptist, gospel songstress Kierra Sheard, and beats by DJ Standout. 

The free concert (you must have a ticket thru Eventbrite to attend) will take place at City of Praise Family Ministries in Landover. Doors open at 6 pm, show begins at 7.

In fitting tradition, the national tour will raise a love offering to support families served by the Ronald McDonald House Charities, which includes the Greater Washington DC Chapter. Since 2012, the love offering has raised more than $940,000 to aid in helping families stay close when their children are sick or injured.

Zip is the trip! Prince George's County will once again welcome the very popular Fox5 Morning News program, ZIP TRIP on two occasions this summer. 

First, the show will be coming to the City of Greenbelt and the historic Roosevelt Center at Centerway, on July 26, from 6-11 am. And, to close out the summer and season of Zip Trip, the show will make its annual appearance at National Harbor on August 30.

Throughout the summer, every Friday morning, the live show travels to a new community from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend in search of great things to see, do and discover around the DMV .

Prince George's County's newest attraction, TOPGOLF NATIONAL HARBOR, is now open.

Located at 6400 Clipper Way (off Oxon Hill Road), Topgolf is a three-story, 65,000 sqft modern putt-palace that is unlike anything else in the area. 

Its all in fun. Through the premium experience of play, food and music, Topgolf inspires people of all ages and skill levels - even non-golfers - to come together for playful competition. Guests can enjoy point-scoring golf games using micro-chipped balls that instantly score themselves, showing players the accuracy and distance of their shots on a TV screen in their hitting bay. 

The venues also feature an outstanding chef-driven menu, top-shelf drinks, big screen TVs and music in climate-controlled hitting bays for all-seasons comfort. Year-round programming includes events for kids and families, social leagues, golf tournaments, golf instruction and more.

Here's the deal. T he University of Maryland College Park (UMD) has been nominated in two categories in the 2019 "Best Of" awards competition.  They're in the running for  "Best Venue for Youth Retreats & Camps" as well as "Best Venue for Weddings".

Cvent's Top Meeting Hotels lists rank hotels based on group business performance according to various criteria, including total requests for proposals (RFPs) and conversion rate.
