Stage Two Opening - Guidance for
Prince George's and Montgomery County Members
(closed still)
Wednesday June 17, 2020

Hello Maryland AMTA Members in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties,

Both counties have adopted a partial reopening plan at the moment, and both are keeping Massage Businesses closed at this time.

Yes, LMTs in health care settings may work. However RMPs and non-health care settings may not return to work in PG or Montgomery Counties.

Both are clear that massage businesses must remain closed, it doesn't matter if you or the owner of your business doesn't identify or like the term "massage parlor" that is how non-health care massage businesses are categorized for the moment.

PG County Executive Alsobrooks has a press conference scheduled for tomorrow, perhaps we will learn more. Although a reminder, we need to follow what is written, not what is said to the press.

We are sure there will be more questions - please feel to reply or visit us on Facebook for more of a discussion - our main page is https://www.facebook.com/amtamd

Take good care,

Amelia
