We continue to be humbled and grateful for the overwhelming interest in our school with more families seeking a Christ-centered education than our space will allow. In response, I wrote to you in August and explained that Prince was making the shift from a rolling admissions process to a traditional admissions process. As a reminder, a traditional admissions process is more competitive. It has all new applicants complete the entire admissions process by a pre-determined date and enter a waiting pool. All applicants in the waiting pool will be evaluated for admissions simultaneously by an admissions committee, and acceptance will be granted to the most competitive applicants on a specific date. We moved to this admissions process because we had more applicants than spaces available.
As a current family, you are guaranteed a spot for the next year as long as you are in good standing with the school and complete reenrollment by February 12th. As a reminder, reenrollment will open on Wednesday, January 15th. It will be more important than ever that you complete the reenrollment process quickly to maintain your space for the next school year. If you have not completed reenrollment by February 12th, it is very likely that your child will no longer have a spot for the next school year.
Current families are the most valuable marketing tool that the school has. The best applicants are traditionally recommended by current families. So, what are some ways you can help the admissions office?
1. Personal Stories: I love telling our prospective families personal stories that current families have shared with me about their time at Prince. Do you have a story that you think future Prince families should hear? It could be sentimental, funny, or just a good representation of what Prince has meant to your family. Please share these stories with our Admissions Office!
2. Tours: Invite prospective families to tour the school. We offer private tours during the school week, and we have an Open House scheduled for Saturday, February 8th. They can contact me personally at vcarter@princeave.org to RSVP for Open House or to schedule a private tour.
3. Social Media: Make sure you are following Prince Avenue Christian School on Facebook and Twitter. We love when our current families share our posts on their personal social media accounts.
4. Reviews: Do you love Prince Avenue Christian School? Then we ask that you take the time to give the school a personal review at one of the following sites: Niche, Google, Facebook, Private School Review and Great! Schools.
5. Applicants: We are waitlisted in most of our grade levels so you want to make sure your friends know all of the admission deadline dates. They are listed below:
