A Letter From Our Pastor

An Invitation for Thanksgiving

The Scriptures are full of invitations to give God the praise and thanksgiving due Him for His loving and gracious care for us. Here are a few verses to reflect upon as we head towards our national day of Thanksgiving:

  • "Through [Christ] then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name." Hebrews 13:15

  • "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. Psalm 28:7

  • "In God, whose word I praise—in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?" Psalm 56:4

  •  "Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things." Psalm 107:8-9

  •   “It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night...” Psalm 92:1-3
