 A Good Word For You

On Wednesday night in Bible study, we completed our study of Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. The apostle Paul ends his letter to the Christians at Ephesus with a “good word,” or as is often called, a benediction. These words echo the very beginning of the letter and are words commonly found at the end of Pauls’ pen. I give them here to you as well. These words also express my heart and desire for you and all who gather within the church and school here at Prince of Peace. May we cherish them, because they are for us, and may we extend them to others as well; after all, they are God’s words:

23 Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with love incorruptible. Ephesians 6:23–24

Peace to you all, and may love continue to flow from genuine faith that finds its source in God our Father and in our Lord Jesus Christ. May grace continue to be lavished upon us, who love our Lord Jesus Christ, and may we extend that grace to others with a love that is pure and without end.

This is the heart of Paul for all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. These are God’s words for you and me. May God grant it to be so. In Jesus Name, Amen.
