Email Express for week of Dec. 5
Welcome to the 16th edition of Email Express, the communications tool utilized by Princeton Independent School District. It is distributed weekly throughout the school year to keep you informed. Districtwide events are featured at the top, followed by a section for each campus to make information easier to navigate.

We encourage suggestions on how we can improve our communications, so feel free to email jcollins@princetonisd.net with your ideas.

In addition, like the Princeton Independent School District Facebook page and follow Twitter @princetonisd to stay up-to-date, as well. These accounts are also linked to the district website at www.princetonisd.net so you do not need social media to see the postings. In addition, Princeton ISD has an official Instagram page to showcase photos from around the district. Follow @PrincetonISD on Instagram to see the kids in action.

District News
Nurses remind parents to keep kids home when they are sick
Princeton ISD health clinics are seeing a rise in flu, COVID, upper respiratory illnesses, seasonal allergies and stomach bugs. Per district and state policies, if a student is sent home by the nurse for vomiting, fever of 100 or above and/or diarrhea, the student cannot return to school until they have been fever- and medicine-free for 24 hours. If a child exhibits any of these symptoms on a Sunday or after school, follow the same guidelines. Send a doctor or parent note with the student when they return to school after the 24-hour period for accurate attendance records.
All Sports Pass
Princeton ISD athletics now offers an All Sports Pass. These are available for students and community members.

The student-only All Sports Pass is valid for either 10 scans for $36 or 20 scans for $46.

In addition, middle school passes are 20 scans for $63, and the high school passes are 20 scans for $103.

Each pass entitles the holder to claim a single admission or multiple admissions to any PISD high school or middle school regular season home game during the 2022-2023 school year, excluding playoffs, tournaments and varsity football games.

Single-game tickets will still be available, but this is just another option, and it helps avoid multiple credit card fees for each individual ticket purchase.

These passes will be non-refundable, so if the purchaser does not use all the admissions on the pass, refunds will not be available for the unused portion.

Passes on sale on the PISD website under the Tickets and Payments tab or by clicking this link:

Campus visitors must show ID before entering
Princeton ISD is excited to welcome visitors back to our campuses. Visitors must first show their ID before they can enter the office on every visit.

With updated security protocols in place, it will be necessary for all parents, grandparents or guardians to be scanned through the current ID system already in use throughout Princeton ISD.

This is a relatively easy process, however, it could create a backup if a line forms for some of our larger campus events, including the annual Thanksgiving lunch, which draws a large number of visitors to campus.

To help streamline this process, it would be helpful for parents who plan to attend on-campus events during the school day to visit the front office at their convenience to have their ID scanned into the Raptor ID system. By having IDs checked prior to any on-campus event, we hope this will allow as many guests as possible to enjoy time with their student at the event. Once they have scanned their ID, it can be retrieved from the system to generate a new visitor badge. This allows for sign-ups in advance instead of printing them all the day of the event.

Students will be limited to four guests per event during the school day.
COVID testing
Princeton ISD continues to offer a free COVID testing clinic for students, located at Lovelady High School at the C21 entrance at the back of the school off Mabel Drive.
