Inclusive Schools Week at Princeton 2022

Inclusive Schools WeekTM (ISW) highlights and celebrates the progress schools have made in providing a supportive and quality education to all students, including those who are marginalized due to disability, gender, ethnicity, geography, and language. It also provides an important opportunity for educators, students, and families to discuss what else needs to be done to ensure that schools continue to improve their ability to successfully educate all children.

Princeton City Schools will join schools across the world in celebrating Inclusive Schools Week from December 5th through the 9th, 2022. This year, the Inclusive Schools Week theme is “Unity Within Our Community.” Our Viking family is complete when everyone feels honored, appreciated, and included!

During this week, we will be highlighting all the wonderful inclusive practices that happen in Princeton and looking for additional opportunities to grow in this area as a district. There will be daily activities in each building, a lot of social media activity, and a compilation video on Friday. We are also asking everyone to wear orange, the color of inclusion, on Friday.

Board of Education member Jodi Kessler visits The White House
Princeton Board of Education member Jodi Winner Kessler made a special trip to The White House as her Lakota students created the National Christmas Tree ornaments representing Ohio this year.

“Working with the National Park Service on the America Celebrates display National Christmas Tree project in Washington DC was definitely a highlight of my 31-year teaching career. Having my students’ art represent the entire state of Ohio on the White House lawn is truly an honor. Being invited to the Tree Lighting Ceremony with the President and Vice President of the United States is an experience I will treasure in my heart for the rest of my life.”
