Message from the Principal

Our first Focus of the Arts since 2019 has been a wonderful success!  To all the presenters, volunteers, staff and students - thank you for making the past two days truly remarkable.  And the day is not over, as I am still looking forward to more sessions and the Dance performance tonight.  The opening event started off Focus 2023 with wonderful energy: Mucca Pazza (a marching band that combines traditions and street theater spectacle with rock and roll sensibilities), Aloft Aerial (a contemporary circus aerialist on a trampoline), and Radius (a pop, R&B group) along with special videos from Bitter Jester and alum Rachel Brosnahan.

I would be remiss if I did not mention the exceptional and moving Genocide Commemoration Day that took place on Tuesday. Student organizations and staff members came together to remember the past and pledge to create a better future for everyone. Throughout the day students had many ways to be engaged and learn more about genocide and the Holocaust in particular. At our all school assembly the main topic was about courage and how each one of us has the power to be a positive agent for change.
