Message from the Principal

Hello Giant Family,

As we celebrate Rosh Hashanah and Hispanic Heritage Month, we take time to honor the diversity that enriches our HPHS community. Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is a time of reflection, renewal, and hope for the year ahead amongst our Jewish community. Hispanic Heritage Month, from September 15 to October 15, highlights the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Latinx communities.

These celebrations invite us to engage with one another across differences, finding common ground in our shared experiences while appreciating the uniqueness of each tradition. I encourage you to take part in these meaningful celebrations, whether by learning something new, asking questions, or simply connecting with others.

Wishing all of you a joyful and meaningful New Year and Hispanic Heritage Month!

As always, thank you for sharing your students with us this week and beyond,

Holly Fleischer

  1. It was a productive weekend for our Girls Swimming and Diving Program. Both the JV and Varsity defeated Niles North last Friday Night. On Saturday our Varsity girls competed in the Lake County Invitational and finished in 3rd Place. It was a total team effort highlighted by sophomore Brooke Eliacin’s 1st place performance in the 50 Free.
  2. Our JV Girls Tennis team finished in 1st Place on Saturday at the Barrington Invitational. Congratulations to the entire squad.
  3. Our teams have started celebrating our seniors. We want to thank our coaches, athletes and parents for helping to make these events special for students who have contributed so much to HP Athletics.
