Message from the Principal

What an incredible Homecoming Week! A giant shout out to everyone involved, from the students to the staff to our caregivers, for making it such a special time, capped off with a great win at Wolters! We had games in the courtyard all week, an exciting Pep Assembly where the seniors rushed the floor after winning the spirit cup, a lively game with halftime performances at Wolters field by our Varsity Football Team, and a dance with a fairytale ending….

A special shout out to Poms, Jammers, and the Marching Band for adding so much spirit and joy at the game. Giant thanks to the Junior Class Council for planning an enchanted dance that truly brought the magic to life.

Homecoming takes a village, and this year was no exception. The energy was fun and refreshing.  The gym floor was lit up by the Sparklers and our students’ dance moves, while others enjoyed playing Uno in the giant conference room, came to watch Enchanted in the courtyard, and then many enjoyed snacks in groups and relaxed outside. It was all about being a community, having fun, and being yourself.

Seeing the joy of staff and students sprinkled like pixie dust throughout our halls all week long was truly refreshing and nourishing. Thank you to everyone for making Homecoming 2024 a week to remember filled with safety and joy!

HP HOMECOMING 2024 IN THE BOOKS

Thank you amazing HP staff for an amazing homecoming spirit week, pep rally, football game, and dance!!! This was an epic week! A huge thank you goes out to our custodial and  maintenance team, security,  athletics, Junior Class Council sponsors Claudia Lopez and Jen Ginopolis and others who made this Once Upon A Time HP homecoming possible! Take a look below for this past week's events. Pay close attention to our HP staff HoCo dance supervisors ALL dressed in Once Upon A Time theme!

Italian Heritage Month:

HPHS will participate in the celebration of Italian heritage and culture with its 1st annual ‘Settimana italiana’!

To kick off the week, the Italian club hosted a Gelato Fundraiser in the Student Cafe! $5.00 for a 6oz cup. DJ Dylan played a variety of Italian Music during the gelato sales! Students had so much fun! The Italian club thanks you for your support!

Other ways you can participate in Settimana Italiana include ordering an Italian-inspired meal from the school cafeteria, check out the beautiful Italian book display in the library, and admire the work of students in Italian classed created which will be displayed in the brick hallway between the library foyer and the cafeteria (perhaps a little field trip with students!). If you have any Italy apparel, Settimana Italiana would be a fun week to sport it! Finally, our Italian Teacher, Maria Barbanente, would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Teachers/Staff in Italia Slideshow- these photos will be looped on the TVs around the school throughout the week.
