Report Cards for the 1st Trimester go home today, November 19, 2020. Students in-person will have a hard copy. Remote Students will receive their report cards in the mail.
Dress Warmly!
The colder weather is upon us and it is important that students dress appropriately with coats, hats, and gloves. Teachers do take children outside for mask breaks and PE. Be sure your child is wearing warm clothes for those cooler days.
Bobcat Bonanza
Join us to help raise money for new 1:1 learning devices by raffling off prizes through our NEW private Bobcat Bonanza Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/bobcatbonanza).
This is a private group to fund raise for St. Patricia School. Have fun and score some awesome stuff!
If you're feeling lucky, search Facebook for Bobcat Bonanza and we'll approve families and friends (you must be the family/friend of a student or parishioner to participate.).
We are so happy to welcome back our quarantined students! We missed you all. Just a quick reminder that Christmas break is extended this year from Dec. 18th at 1 pm until Jan. 18th. We return to school on Jan. 19th.
Parent/Teacher Conferences are on Tuesday, 11/24/20. Hopefully, you were able to set up a Zoom meeting with your child's teacher. Please contact your child's teacher for more information. There is an 11:30 am dismissal on this day, and Aftercare is available, if needed. Please make arrangements for your child.
There is No School on Wednesday, 11/25/20, as it is the start of Thanksgiving break. School will resume on Monday, 11/30/20 with a Jimmy John's Monday Lunch.
The season of Advent will begin on Sunday, 11/29/20. Advent is a Latin word that actually means “coming.” In the Catholic church, advent is time of preparation and waiting for the birth of Jesus. Advent officially begins four Sundays before Christmas, which means it often begins the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
Our Annual Santa's Workshop is going virtual this year! It will begin on Dec. 1st and go until Dec. 4th.
See the Bobcat e-envelope for a flyer and information on how you and your child can order your Christmas gifts. All orders will be delivered to your home for your safety and convenience.
The Chicago and Cook County Health Department is advising that we stay home for the holidays. However, if your family chooses to travel out-of-town over Thanksgiving, you will need to follow the following guidelines. Please connect to this link for a map of red and orange states and more information.
Steps to follow the Order:
When planning, review the CDPH Travel Order state list. Avoid all non-essential travel.
Prior to arrival, Orange list travelers must receive a negative COVID-19 test result no longer than 72 hours prior to arrival and have proof of negative results OR plan to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival. Red list travelers should plan for a 14-day quarantine.
Upon arrival in Chicago, Orange list travelers should maintain a copy of negative test result with them while in Chicago or quarantine for 14 days if they chose not to take a test. Red list travelers should quarantine for 14 days.
We all want to continue to have in-school learning. Let's be responsible and vigilant to stop the spread!
Wear Your Mask (over your nose, too!)
Wash your hands frequently
Stay at least 6 ft. away from others
Quarantine members of your household who are exposed or have tested positive.
Stay home if you are sick or have been exposed to someone with a known COVID case
Get Tested if I exhibit symtoms.
Call the school immediately if your child or someone in your family is sick or has tested positive.
Stay healthy & safe. Enjoy a great weekend!
Blessings,
Mrs. Nowinski
