News
Our mission at Grace Lutheran Church and School is to bring in, build up, and send out disciples for Jesus Christ. Our school prepares children for a life of discipleship by helping them to grow in faith, knowledge, and character.
As we prepare for the Christmas Eve services led by our students in Grades 1-8, here are a few notes:
-         The church and school will not open until 3:00 on Christmas Eve.
-         Students arriving before 3:45 must stay with their families until this time.
-         Students participating in the 4:15 service should arrive at 3:45. Students in Grades 1-4 should report to their classrooms, ringers and singers in Grades 5-8 report to the robe room and then go to Fellowship Hall, and pageant participants not in the cross report to the sacristy.
-         Students participating in only the 6:00 service should arrive at 5:30 and report to the rooms listed above.
-         Children in Grades 1-4 are asked to wear dress clothes, but do not need to wear white on top and dark on bottom.
-         Singers and ringers in Grades 5-8 are asked to wear comfortable dress shoes, and dress clothes that will not be too hot under their choir robe.
-          Students in Grades 5-8 participating in both services should go to Fellowship Hall between services for a snack. Students in Grades 1-4 participating in both services will have a snack brought to their classroom.

I am pleased to announce that Mrs. Kathy Brooks will teach 1 st grade for the remainder of the school year. Welcome back, Mrs. Brooks! We are still in need of a part-time reading specialist to begin in January and complete the school year. Mrs. Beasley has moved, so we are also in need of a Director of Enrollment & Marketing. If you know of someone who may be interested in either position, please send them to this link for details.

I wish you all a blessed and wonderful Christmas. May the Peace of Christ be yours during this Christmas season!

Brunch will be served in Fellowship Hall after the service. All are welcome! Sign up at the reception desk, or go to GraceRiverForest.org to RSVP.

Farewell to the Wegners. During the January 5 brunch, we will give thanks for the ministry of Pastor Dave Wegner and Pastor Lauren Wegner here at Grace. Pastor Lauren has accepted a call to serve at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas. Pastor Dave will be transitioning from parish ministry to work in the field of nonprofit leadership and advancement.
