Walk with Grace-We did it! Thanks to everyone, we raised
over $28,000, with contributions from 215 Grace families!! This money raised will not only benefit our school and the sensational students, but also help families in need who are staying at the Ronald McDonald Houses. Grace is truly an amazing place and accomplishments such as this make it ever more apparent. Thank you to all of the teachers and staff for championing the cause and especially to all of you parents for your dedication, generosity, time and efforts to make the walk-a-thon a huge success! Stay tuned for pictures from the day.

Provide a Meal for the Teachers-Our teachers work tirelessly to help our students learn and grow every day. Conferences are an important time for parents and teachers to connect, discuss and best plan for the students. The fall conferences are coming up next week on October 10th. Conferences are a short window of time for the parents, but it takes a lot of time and effort from our teachers to plan and hold these one-on-one meetings. To take one thing off of their plate that day, we like to provide a hot meal for them during a break period. If you are able, please sign up below to help out. If you would like to spearhead the event, please contact Becky Morgan at
rebecca.morgan04@gmail.com.
Book Fair-During the fall Parent-Teacher conferences we hold a book fair right in the atrium. Setting up, helping the kids navigate all of it, manning the register and taking down; it all takes work. If you could spare even an hour between Wednesday, October 9th and Thursday, October 10th, the help would be greatly appreciated. Please see the link below for time slots or contact Lexi Wurpts at
lexi.wurpts@gmail.com.

Items from the lost and found will be on tables in the hall near the school office. Before or after your conference please check to see if any of the items belong to their child. Putting your child’s name in their jacket or sweatshirt helps us to return the item to them directly.
After school pick-up: When picking up your students after school, please do not park/stand at the last “spot” on Bonnie Brae for the following safety reasons:
1.
Students crossing east on Bonnie Brae at the designated crosswalk cannot see oncoming traffic.
2.
Drivers turning south on Bonnie Brae from Division cannot see oncoming traffic.
3.
Illinois law states you cannot park/stand within 15 feet of a fire hydrant and 20 feet of a crosswalk.
Please note the “no parking/standing” signage. Let’s keep our students and drivers safe! Thanks!
If you received an email about missing medical records, please take care of it as soon as possible. State law requires that any student in the required grades of Pre-Kindergarten, Jr. Kindergarten, Sr. Kindergarten, and 6
th grade who have not turned in the required medical records, must be excluded from school as of October 15.
Recorder Club- Students in grades 4-6 with previous recorder experience are invited to participate in Recorder Club. Recorder Club meets Monday mornings at 7:30 a.m. in the Seminar Room. Play fun music, learn new notes and improve your technique. Contact Janel Dennen at
