End of Year Principal's Message

Happy June! These busy past 6 weeks were filled with celebrations, awards, and traditions as we conclude another outstanding school year. We honored students for academic achievements and community service, thanked Villa parents for their volunteerism, and recognized faculty for milestone years with our school - all in addition to days filled with classroom discoveries and experiences.

It is with sadness that we say good-bye to our graduating 8th graders and the families who will leave our extraordinary St. Ursula Villa community. We wish them well as they begin new chapters in their educational journeys.
4th graders work hard to maintain and improve the Butterfly Garden on our campus.
As part of 2nd graders' Ornithology unit, students dissected owl pellets to identify the bird's recent meal.
Manor House through Intermediate grades had beautiful weather for Field Days where they participated in friendly competition, personal challenge, and great physical activity.
Montessori B students discovered the many things living under logs during Outdoor Education class.
Villa 8th grade Spanish students earned medals and awards for their performance on the 2018 National Spanish Examinations organized by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.
Villa 7th grade French students also earned honors for their performance on Le Grand Concours, a national French contest organized by the Association of Foreign Teachers of America.
Traditional 3-year-olds color-sorted items they collected on the Nature Trails during Outdoor Education.
Villa preschool through 1st graders enjoyed an interactive and entertaining Cincinnati Children's Theatre performance of The Cat in the Hat .
We are proud of these 4th - 6th graders who earned national and divisional rankings and awards in the online Catholic Math League Competition.
Montessori and Traditional Kindergarteners' field trip to the Cincinnati Nature Center provided hands-on learning and fun.
The Gino DiMario Fine Arts Festival featured choir, guitar, and band concerts as well as creative student art displays in the Manor House and Multi-Purpose Room. Click here for photos.
The Villa community gathered on the Manor House lawn to celebrate Mary, the Blessed Mother. Students placed flowers at Mary's feet and Mary was crowned by an 8th grader selected by her peers for exemplifying Mary's characteristics.
We commend 11 students in 2nd - 6th grade who completed 20 hours of community service and 50 Junior High students who completed over 40 hours of service outreach at more than 65 local organizations.
The Gino DiMario Birthday Benefit included family activities of face-painting, Madcap Puppets performance, and casual cookout dinner. Click here for photos.
Muffins for Moms is a favorite morning for all in the Manor House!
At the Volunteer Reception following the Final School Mass, we welcomed the opportunity to thank some of the many volunteers whose time and talents make the Villa so special.
Everyone - from our youngest to oldest students - loved "Cruisin' Into Summer" with May Party's games, raffles, treats, and fun.
Villa Girl Scout K - 4th grade troops celebrated a great year with an after-school party of activities and Kona Ice treats funded by their cookies sales.

VPO thanks all parents, kids, and family volunteers for another wonderful year! From Parent Nights and Elves Shelves to Valentine's Tea and May Party, you have helped support VPO programs and the Villa community spirit. Have a fantastic summer and we will see you in August!
Villa Boosters
Villa Boosters is proud to have a K - 2nd grade team and a 3rd & 4th grade team playing in the Anderson Fast Pitch Softball League. The 3rd & 4th grade team's successful season includes 9 wins, 1 tie, 3 losses and a tournament this weekend. Go Eagles!
