Message from the Principal

Thank you to our sixth grade parents for all of the delicious goodies that were sent in for the faculty and staff. The healthy snacks were a welcome treat, especially this week!

It’s hard to believe that tomorrow, November 2nd, marks the end of the first trimester! Report cards will be distributed on Monday, November 12th. Parent/teacher conferences are being held for all grade levels on November 7th and 14th. An e-mail was sent out to parents with the sign-up genius link to schedule a time to meet if you would like to request a conference with your child’s teacher. Middle School honor roll recognition will take place at the flagpole during morning assembly (8:05 am) on Monday, November 19th. Parents are welcome to join us for the assembly.

The Mass reflection this week focuses on how we are all called daily, to live a life of holiness. As we celebrate All Saints’ Day today, we look to the saints to guide us to make choices that will lead each of us in a life of holiness.

Tomorrow, November 2nd, is All Souls Day. A special Mass will be held at 7:00 pm that includes the recitation of names of those who have died this past year. This is a day when we remember in prayer all the faithful departed.

Sacred Scripture
The sixth graders are getting ready for their upcoming Bible Service next Wednesday, November 7th. The students have been learning about how sacred scripture is sacred history. They can recognize the sections and books in the Old Testament and how the themes of creation, revelation, and salvation developed prior to the birth of the Messiah.
In the Classroom
First Graders Take a Virtual Field Trip
Our first graders are learning about internet safety during computer class. They learned about the power of the internet to take them to places they might not be able to visit in person, and took a virtual field trip to the San Diego Zoo. We discussed how we have rules to keep us safe when we travel in the real world and also when we travel online.

Home and School
Home and School Meetings
Parents, please plan on joining us for two important and informative parent meetings, Thursday, November 29th, in the PLC. Our first meeting will be a short 30 minute meeting, starting at 6:00 pm, with information from our Sub-Committee members. Immediately following will be our General Parent Meeting starting at 6:30 pm, ending at 7:30 pm. All parents are welcome at both meetings. A light dinner, babysitting and a free dress pass will be provided for parents who attend. More details coming soon.
Lunch and Recess Volunteer Opportunity
Parents, please take advantage of the beautiful fall weather we’re blessed with in Florida and join us during lunch and recess. We truly appreciate any time you can give us, on any given day. The safety of our students is always our top priority and having enough parent volunteers during recess is necessary. Please click on the link below to volunteer.

All families are required to volunteer at least 5 hours in the lunchroom or recess. Volunteers should have cleared fingerprints and completed safe environment training. If you have any questions, please contact Nancy Thomas
