A Message From Principal Bagdasarian
We have had an outstanding few months at York. Our students continue to amaze me with the progress that they are making in the classroom, on our athletic fields and through various music performances. The climate in the building is extremely positive and spirit is high. Some of our Fall athletic programs are gaining national and regional attention as our girls cross country team is ranked 10th nationally and our boys football team is ranked in the state. In addition, our girls tennis and boys soccer programs are also having tremendous success!

In the coming months, students will be selecting their courses for next school year. Students are encouraged to find balance with their course selections while selecting a challenging course load. In addition, students are encouraged to follow their passion while considering courses in the elective areas. We are fortunate to offer an extensive course offering list so that our students can develop into well-rounded individuals.

As a reminder, Wednesday, October 13 is a late start day for all students except those who are taking the PSAT/NMSQT exams. Students taking the PSAT/NMSQT exams will report to school at 7:40 and should check their email for their assigned testing location.

Finally, our "new" family conference format was a success! Many families took advantage of the virtual option while others preferred the more traditional, in-person option. On behalf of the entire York faculty, I would like to thank the York PTSA for their continued support. The PTSA provided dinner for our teachers on Wednesday evening and donuts for our staff on Thursday morning as well as providing lunch.

Enjoy the extended weekend and GO DUKES!

Best regards,

Dr. Shahe Bagdasarian
