Dear All Saints Families:
A big welcome to our new and returning families. It has been a wonderful return to school. The children and their beautiful smiles have been missed. All Saints Catholic School is just a building over the summer, but when the children return, it becomes a second home away from home. I wish everyone a wonderful year of faith, learning, love, and community. Like life, there will be bumps, but we will grow together to be stronger and better.
Hopefully, parents noticed our officer presence at our school. This will continue every day that the school is open. From surveys and conversations with parents, it is evident security is at the forefront of everyone's mind. All Saints Catholic School is committed to improving all aspects of our security. It is a constant work in progress as we learn more and get feedback from various agencies. Thank you for your support. I love the positive responses our children are having with the officers. There are a lot of high fives being shared.
I hope you also noticed the school building clean-up and improvements. Our Maintenance Department worked hard to clean up, paint, and improve the facilities. We were given a wonderful grant to redo the Computer Lab this summer by the Forgatch family, in memory of Michael Forgatch, an ASCS parent. We wanted everything ready for the start of the new school year, but unfortunately, the new furniture is delayed. We will be having an official opening of the lab shortly.
Just a reminder to all parents who wish to volunteer this year, all volunteers must be fingerprinted by the Diocese, sign a Pastoral Code of Conduct, and attend a Protecting God's Children Workshop. Please see Ms. Korf as soon as possible to get the first two items completed. Dean Dave Licata from St. Peter Church will be holding a workshop here this Saturday, August 18 at 9:00 AM at All Saints. However, you must sign up online. There are many other workshop dates and times throughout the Diocese, if you are unable to attend the one at ASCS.
Just a reminder that this Wednesday is the weekly liturgy at St. Peter Church. The holy day of obligation mass of the Assumption of Mary will begin at 9:30 AM. All are welcome. We will not have a Thursday liturgy this week.
We are off to a great start of the school year. I wish all of our families many blessings this school year.
Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Jill Broz
