Dear All Saints Families:
Thank you to everyone for a wonderful first week. It was so enjoyable to see all of our beautiful students happy, learning, making new friends, and getting busy learning the routines. We had a lovely community building event welcoming our new families with a Friday barbeque. A genuine thank you to the Fishman, Marvin, and Rabideau families for organizing and taking care of most of the details. Many angel families were also helpful in this important event to welcome our new families. Our community is growing in numbers and in their dedication to the school.
Our car line is improving every day. We had a few more late vehicles on Friday during drop off. I think parents are feeling more confident and trying to leave home a little later. Unfortunately, this results in many more cars entering the parking lot later and having more children to process through the front line right before 8:00 AM. Please consider leaving home just 5 to 10 minutes earlier. Pick up is improving every day. We realize listening for numbers and finding a letter is tough for our little ones. Administration, teachers, assistants, and student patrols are there to help. Thank you for your patience and understanding of this process. One important item that we ask of all our parents during both car lines, is to ensure your child remains fully seated with a seat-belt until the car comes to a complete stop and no driver is on his/her cell phone. These two simple, but extremely important measures, will improve the safety of the car line.
I am reaching out for any gardening parent or grandparent who would like to help our school with our garden. We hope to replant our garden after the first quarter (later into October). Last year we enjoyed its bounty in the salad bar. The faculty member leading this project is no longer with our school. It was so successful in teaching our children about plants and gardening, we desire to keep the project a priority at the school. If you are interested in helping out, please email me at
or call the front office at 561-748-8994.
This week begins our Home and School's first fundraising project -
Mixed Bag Designs
. Envelopes containing the catalog and order form should have gone home Friday or today. Please take the time to look at the great items available from this organization. They have some nice new items and all proceeds go directly to the school. You can also easily order online at
Also this week, is the first Open House event for grades Pre-Kindergarten through fifth grade. There will be two repeated 45 minutes sessions beginning at 6:00 PM with a 15 minutes break in between the sessions. This will allow parents to go to two different classrooms, if needed. This evening allows parents to meet directly with the teacher, learn the educational standards and benchmarks for that grade, routines, and procedures. Further, all
after school extra-curricular activity
coordinators will be in the lobby like the Friday before school began. Sign-ups can still be done for all activities.
One final note - I wish to share a new cell number for the Clinic. Nurse Black has found parents respond promptly when a text is sent to a parent about a sick child. We understand phones and emails are not able to be answered at work or in specific locations, but texts are a quick way to respond. To avoid Nurse Black using her personal phone, the school now has the following cell phone Clinic number of
. Please add this number to your contacts so you will recognize the number if the school contacts you. Please ensure this number is used for the Clinic ONLY. It is not a contact for informing the school of absences, missing items, or other non-clinic items.
Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Jill Broz
