We had some fun this week, celebrating Red Ribbon Week and ending with the return of our traditional Halloween Parade at break time! November is coming and with it, the beginning of the holidays which also means the Fall semester is almost over. We have a student-free day tomorrow, November 1st! Just a friendly reminder to stay up to date with your student's progress by signing on often to the Aeries Portal.

The Halloween Parade was back on Friday! Thank you to our ASB for organizing it! Staff and Students participated and had fun! We have great spirit at FUHS! The parade pictures were taken by our amazing Yearbook photographers, always there to capture the moment!

JROTC
CyberPatriot is a national youth cyber education program created in the United States to help direct students toward careers in cybersecurity or other computer, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines. The competition consists of three six-hour competitions, with the championship being held in Baltimore Maryland. Last Friday, our team consisting of Sean Finch, Wyatt Carter, Ryan Chung, Kylee Gong, Joshua Lee, and Greg Patlan competed against 731 teams around the world and finished in the top 6.8% of all these teams earning a spot in Round Two. Congratulations to our Cyber Warriors!
Last Saturday, the JROTC Cadets competed in their first competition since COVID-19 closed all the schools. Our Varsity Color Guard team, consisting of Julia Bustamante, Zion Tran, Victor Perez, and Austin Hulsizer brought home a 2nd place Trophy for best All-Around Color Guard performance. Cadets Lead the Way!

We are happy to announce the addition of a 3rd campus supervisor this week! Miguel Galindo joined our team and we are excited to get the extra support. Miguel has been serving as one of our Volleyball Coaches and now we are fortunate to have him on board in this additional role.
Welcome to the Tribe Coach Galindo!

Athletics Review Oct. 25th to 29th
Boys Water Polo: Boys Varsity won their Carousel game against Sonora on Tuesday, but fell to Troy in the Championship game on Thursday. Now the boys await the CIF pairings to find out who they will face first in the play-offs. JV will play in the Chino Hills Water Polo tournament this weekend.
Girls Tennis: Girls Varsity finish the regular season playing in the League finals in which Fullerton placed two singles and three doubles teams. Our doubles team of Kennedy Hetts and Eliza Lynch took 3rd place. Great job ladies.
Cross Country continues to practice for the league finals coming up on Wednesday, November 3rd at Craig Regional Park at 1pm.
Football: Football played Sunny Hills in the season finale and had a great end of season game. Our Football team battled until the end taking Sunny Hills into overtime. The Lancers won the game in the end but we are proud of the fight put on by our players.
Softball tryouts are Nov. 5th & 6th on the utility field. November 5th tryouts are from 3:15pm to 5:15 pm. On November 6th tryouts will be from 9am to 11am. Athletes in other sports only need to attend the Nov. 6th tryout. All athletes must be cleared before participating in any practice. See Coach Olivas in the A.D. office during 6th period or after school.
With Fall coming to an end, our winter sports are getting ready to start playing games. Be ready and come watch: Boys & Girls Basketball, Boys & Girls Soccer, Boys and Girls Wrestling, and Girls Water Polo

COVID Entrance Procedures
|
Safety Procedures attending school during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- All students and staff will complete a Qualtrics COVID Safety Survey each morning (the survey is sent to Student's school email).
- Students will be directed to the central building breezeway as they enter campus where they will show their green checkmark from the completed survey permitting them to be on campus.
- Students will walk through the thermal-imaging temperature cameras in the breezeway as they show their green Qualtrics survey checkmarks.
- Face coverings (masks) are required inside and are optional while outside. Please ensure that your students bring a mask everyday.
|
|
If you have received a COVID 19 test, do not attend school until you receive the results of that test and then only if you are negative for COVID 19. Additionally, if you have been exposed to a person who has recently tested positive for COVID-19 please stay home and contact the school attendance office.
In accordance with the Center for Disease Control (CDC), CA Dept. of Public Health (CDPH), and Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA), we ask that you complete the Qualtrics survey each morning prior to arriving on campus. However, please do not attend school if you have experienced any COVID-related symptoms:
- Flu-like symptoms such as fever of 100.4 or greater
- Chills
- Cough
- Sore throat
- Runny or stuffy nose that is not associated with a pre-existing condition or other chronic health condition.
If you have received a COVID 19 test, do not attend school until you receive the results of that test and then only if you are negative for COVID 19.
Further, following the recommendations issued by the CDC, the CDPH has issued guidance in support of full in-person instruction and to as much instructional time as possible. A link to that guidance is included at the bottom of this communication.
Please note that masks will be required by all staff and students while indoors regardless of vaccinated status. As an extra precaution, FJUHSD is committed to continuing the enhanced cleaning procedures established to ensure that our schools are clean, sanitized, and safe. Further, temperatures will continue to be taken each morning.
