We are Fullerton!

Hello Fullerton Families!

We have had an amazing first week of school! Our students and teachers are well on their way to having a great year! Activities and sports have begun! We had a great Welcome Back Assembly thanks to ASB and tonight both our Freshman w/ LinkCrew and our Staff will be tailgating before our first home Football Game! We are all looking forward to the great times ahead!

Celebrations

FUHS ASB

Our ASB hosted a great Welcome Back Assembly! It was a great way to start off the school year!

Speech and Debate

The National Speech and Debate Association hosted its 50th Championship Tournament back in June and Fullerton Union had two students compete. Amelie Heying placed 11th overall in her Informative category. This was out of 248 individual competitors. She made it to the semi-finals, and this will allow her to automatically qualify for next year's event. That will be the fourth year that she will have qualified for Nationals. We are all very proud of Amelie and her accomplishments!

Athletics

Thank you to our Athletic Director, Coach Joseph Olivas and our Fall Coaches for our weekly sports highlights!

Cross Country

The boys and girls will be wrapping up their mileage count for the summer in the next 10 days with numerous runners logging between 400-700 miles since June 1st. The team recently spent 5 days in Big Bear before school started to train and lay out a plan for the season. The boys and girls are excited at the prospect of having one the best seasons in school history. Both teams will compete in a 3 mile scrimmage race on Saturday, August 20th at Fullerton against La Mirada and Santa Fe. The first official race is on Saturday, September 3rd.

Girls Volleyball

This week, the ladies opened the season with a win against a tough California HS team. After losing the first set, they tightened up the defense and stormed back to win the next 3 sets to win 3-1. Unfortunately, we lost our 2nd game of the week to Valencia 1-3. We are now sitting at 1-1. Kaylee Koerth and Havanna Pennington lead the team in kills and assists, while Noah Chung lead the defense. Next up is the Tustin Tournament this Saturday. JV and Frosh teams are off to a great start as well, with JV at 1-1 and Frosh at 2-0.

Boys Water Polo:

Our Boys Water Polo team is looking very strong this year as we head toward our first game against Brea Highschool next week. We expect good things as they are lead by their outstanding team captain Preston Kim.

Girls Tennis:

Girls Tennis first match will be Monday against La Serna. The team is working hard and are ready to start the season!

Meet our Attendance Team

Coming to school, being present and on time is most important.  Helping us with this task is our amazing team of Attendance Clerks. Ms. Oseguera and Ms. Rios! Both are great assets to our school and liaisons for our students and parents.

Prompt and daily attendance at school has a direct bearing on academic success. Students are expected to be on time and attend all classes. Parents are expected to ensure that students attend school and are on time for school each day. If your child is going to be late, absent, or leaving early, let us know as soon as possible by phone, note, or in person. Absences must be cleared  within 3 days or they become truancies and cannot be excused. It is important for both parents and students to check attendance on Aeries frequently.

You are welcome to contact the office if you need help accessing Aeries.
