Student Field Trip
Members of the Class of 2024 toured Fullerton College on Thursday, February 8th. Led by Education Specialist, Mr. Leon Palmisano, students prepared for their transition to college. They were connected to college advisors who will support them in receiving accommodations to meet their unique learning styles and needs. The Disability Support Services (DSS) center at FC supports equitable access to higher education through a multitude of individualized services and support. Our future hornets are well-prepared and ready to explore college and career options at Fullerton College next fall.

Agri-Science Academy
Congratulations to our Assistant Principal, Mr. Jon Caffrey for winning the Orange Section FFA Star Administrator award. He has been really supportive of our program and this is a well-deserved award!
Also, congratulations to Macy Alcott for winning the Southern Region FFA Star proficiency award in agriculture sales. She will be representing our chapter, section, and region at the state level.
Another huge shout out to our three State FFA Degree Recipients this year. To earn this degree students must have earned at least $1000 from their Ag projects, and invested over 500 hours of time. This award is only earned by about 3% of all FFA members in the state. This year's recipients are:
Mary (MG) Weber
Abbey Lucey
Elianna Sosa

Baseball
The Baseball Opening Day starts this Saturday at FUHS Baseball Field. The Tribe will be taking on Corona Del Mar in non-league play starting at 12pm. Come enjoy the fun and see our field updates.
In other FUHS Baseball news, the Fullerton City Council delivered a proclamation honoring FUHS Alumni, Michael Lorenzen on his accomplishment in throwing a No-Hitter on August 9, 2023, for the Philadelphia Phillies against the Washington Nationals. Michael joins three other Fullerton Alumni who have pitched no-hitters in MLB: Walter Johnson, Steve Busby, and Mike Warren. It should be known that FUHS Alumni have thrown a total of 5 no-hitters in MLB with Steve Busby reaching the accomplishment twice!
In addition to Michael being honored, the Fullerton City Council also delivered a Proclamation honoring Fullerton Union High School celebrating the remarkable place in MLB history being the only high school to produce 4 MLB No-Hitter pitchers. Quiz: Which FUHS Alumni caught multiple No-Hitters in MLB?
