Our Song and STUNT teams have been working hard this week! Our Song team is working on new routines, cleaning their technique, and getting ready for their Song clinic in April! Our STUNT team is gearing up for our STUNT clinic this Saturday for student-athletes in the Fullerton area ages 10-14! We are so excited to teach them all about what STUNT the Sport is! If anyone is interested in joining our Song and Cheer sideline team for the 2024-2025 season, we will be having an informational tryout meeting on February 29th! We hope to see you all there!

Softball
Softball was featured in the OC Register Softball Season preview as the #12 Ranked Team in Orange County. Sophomore sensation Malaya Majam-Finch was also featured as one of 10 players to watch this upcoming season. The Tribe are focused this year on winning the last year of the Freeway League and returning to the CIF Championship game. Softball is off to a 2-1 start. We opened the season last Saturday against Orange County 7th ranked Canyon High School. The Tribe fell behind early 4-0, but battled back and finished strong with 4-2 defeat. We bounced back Monday @ Beckman defeating the Patriots 12-0. Freshman Katelynn Mathews was strong in the circle going 4 innings, without giving up a hit and striking out 7. Senior (Tennessee State) commit Tianna Salcido pitched 2 innings in relief to complete a No-Hitter for the Tribe. Malaya Majam-Finch and sophomore Melia Vera each had 3 hits in the game, with Malaya having (2) homeruns. Yesterdays contest saw the Golden Hawks from El Dorado come to Fullerton for our home opener. The Tribe were victorious 5-1. Majam-Finch got the win in the circle with Mathews pitching (2) innings of no-run relief. Sophomore Andrea Montes De Oca and Senior Zoey Bautista led the Tribe with 2 hits a piece. Senior Ava Paquin turned in a sportcenter top 10 diving catch in right field in the 3rd inning. Come out and support the Tribe tomorrow, Saturday 2/17 @ home as we host the Savanna Tournament. The Tribe plays @ 9:00am and 3:00pm. We will have a fully stocked snack bar with Tacos. Boys Volleyball
Congrats to the boys for closing out the off-season Garden Grove Spike-off Classic Series going 4-0 to win the Gold Division. The boys came into the playoffs/championship round with a 9-3 record in the 4 pool rounds over the past 2 months, positioning themselves with a great chance to make a run in the championship round on Saturday, 10 Feb. The boys went into Saturday with a whole new lineup. With our starting setter, Hyunmin Kim, out with an injury, our Libero (Rowan Yeo) stepped up to direct our offense as the setter, while DS Jack Castellanos moved over to take on the role as Libero, which they both performed absolutely phenomenally. After losing the first set of the first round against Rancho Alamitos, the boys mounted a comeback by winning the last 2 sets to win the match. The boys went on to sweep Santa Ana Valley and Salesian and dominated Santa Fe in the finals. Jorge Vasquez and Johnny Leonardo dominated on the offensive outside, and Dominic Valenzuela had a block party of his own on the right side. All 3 middles, Christian Zimmerman, Nathan Medina, and Cameron Hird occupied the middle of the net. Price Sanders also contributed tremendously on the defensive side. The boys ended the off-season with an impressive 13-3 record. Our season begins on Tuesday, 20 Feb against Valencia. Go, Tribe!
