Good Morning Fullerton Families,

We have arrived to April and we only have two more months left in school! We are gearing up for awards season, especially for our seniors! They are getting ready to make some big life decisions in the next few weeks and we are ready to support them. For more information on these Senior Activities, Higher Education, and Scholarship Information, please scroll down to the College & Career Section.

This next week is our big state testing week only for our Junior Class. This is a very important test that helps us determine our students' needs. The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) is a test that is meant to give information that can be used to measure academic progress and make sure that all high school students are ready for college and a career when they graduate. Juniors will take tests within their Math and English classes. Please ensure that students are well-rested for the test. Friendly reminder, we also have breakfast in the cafeteria to ensure that they are also well-fed and are able to focus on the exam. We appreciate all of your support this next week!

I hope you enjoy the rest of this sunny weekend! Go Tribe!

Softball

Softball was rained out all week so we are hoping to make-up those games and get back on schedule for games next week. Our freshman star Malaya Majam-Finch was featured in another newspaper this past week, please come out and see our girls play next week. We play at La Habra on Tuesday and at Buena Park on Thursday.

Baseball

Our baseball games at the beginning of this week were canceled due to soaked fields at FUHS and Sunny Hills. However, With the sun coming out it’s back to PLAYING BASEBALL! FUHS will be hosting the Varsity game 3/31/23 at 3:15pm at FUHS. There will be a make-up game with Sunny Hills on Saturday. Varsity will be at Sunny Hills at 11am while the JV and Freshman teams will play here at FUHS. JV plays at 10am and Freshman play at 1:30pm.

Boys Volleyball

Another solid week for the boys, going 2-0 for the week. The boys went on the road and defeated La Habra 3-1, and closed out the week by sweeping Buena Park 3-0. Every player on the roster got a chance to play this week. The boys are now sitting at 12-3 overall and 3-1 in league, tied with Sunny Hills at 2nd place. Monday will be a big game for our boys as we take on current 1st place Troy (4-0), on our home court. Please come out and fill our gym up to give our boys that 7th man energy.

Swim and Dive

Swim: This week on Monday 3/27 FUHS swim vs Marina High School. Tough loss for all levels but it was a good meet with Justin Pearson, Sydney Cruz, and Lily Guevara all making individual CIF qualifying times. We also had some of our relay teams qualify like our varsity girls 200 IM relay, both our varsity girls and boys 400 Free relay, and our boys 200 Free relay. On Wednesday 3/29 we raced against Sonora High School where our boys varsity team ended up winning.

Dive: For diving this week Abigail Ekstrom placed 1st in the diving competition and Reese Eikermann placed 2nd. Looking into next week on Wednesday, April 5 Fullerton will be racing La Habra High School.

Boys Tennis

FUHS Boys Tennis has a dominating show against La Habra H.S. on Tuesday winning 18-0.  The matchup against Buena Park H.S. was postponed due to rain, so it is being played today at Buena Park.  We should be back on schedule with the rain out of the way.  Please come out and support the boys next Tuesday here at FUHS at 3pm for the match against Troy.  Also, join us here at FUHS on Thursday at 3pm when we take on Sunny Hills.

Stunt Team
