Happy Friday FUHS Families!

It's Super Bowl Sunday and although I am a proud 49ers fan, I do hope that the Win stays in LA! We have a few FJUHSD alumni playing on both teams so it will nice to see them represent! It's weirdly warm for February but at least we'll have a great game day followed by a school free day, which is perfect!

FUHS has been in a frenzy these last few days as four of our sports teams have made it to CIF play! Our Girls Water Polo team played in a CIF Round 1 game, Our wrestlers are still winning, and both our Boys Soccer and Boys Basketball teams won their first rounds and will be playing at home on Tuesday! We have also started with all Spring sports competitions! Softball and Baseball had their season openers this Saturday to winning results! We are definitely enjoying watching our teams accomplish these milestones! Go Tribe!

Please remember that district's are required to develop a Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) that aligns with their annual budget in collaboration with all stakeholders. The LCAP is aligned with the District's budget and will guide the district's spending related to the state and local board priorities. Please click on the flier below to begin taking the survey. We have until Tuesday, February 15th. A similar survey has been sent to students and staff.

COVID Protocols
To view more information, you may go to the district website.

We still have take-home COVID test kits for students to pick up. There will be information about more pick-up times for students next week. Please make sure to check your emails or you may stop by the Attendance Office windows to pick yours up.
If you have received a COVID 19 test, do not attend school until you receive the results of that test and then only if you are negative for COVID 19. Additionally, if you have been exposed to a person who has recently tested positive for COVID-19 please stay home and contact the school attendance office.

In accordance with the Center for Disease Control (CDC), CA Dept. of Public Health (CDPH), and Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA), we ask that you complete the Qualtrics survey each morning prior to arriving on campus. However, please do not attend school if you have experienced any COVID-related symptoms:
  • Flu-like symptoms such as fever of 100.4 or greater
  • Chills
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Runny or stuffy nose that is not associated with a pre-existing condition or other chronic health condition.

If you have received a COVID 19 test, do not attend school until you receive the results of that test and then only if you are negative for COVID 19.

Further, following the recommendations issued by the CDC, the CDPH has issued guidance in support of full in-person instruction and to as much instructional time as possible. A link to that guidance is included at the bottom of this communication.

Please note that masks are still required by all staff and students while indoors regardless of vaccinated status. As an extra precaution, FJUHSD is committed to continuing the enhanced cleaning procedures established to ensure that our schools are clean, sanitized, and safe. Further, temperatures will continue to be taken each morning.
