School Spirit!

Friday was 2-2 Day! We love such dedication and school spirit by our staff!

Environmental Club

Ten students and alumni joined us today to further our efforts to remove plastic pollution. It was such a perfect connection because our goal on campus is to prevent plastic from making it downstream, and the co-presidents gave a presentation on runoff at their last meeting. Students were able to see that some trash always makes it through, so it’s important to also clean up coastal areas, especially after a rain event (plus, it was World Wetlands Day!). They had so much fun and it was awesome to see our students doing some community service on the weekend. Looking forward to a continued partnership!

Refresh and join!

Last week, we had programs and clubs out recruiting! Getting involved in high school makes it more fun and students gain invaluable experiences that will help them in the future! Registration for next year starts in one week! Be ready to choose your program!

Artistic Celebration!

Our district schools have partnered once again with the Muckenthaler to showcase student artwork! Last Wednesday, we held a reception for students and our school community. Thank you to Mr. Despars who is also the district lead for our Visual and Performing Arts! Congratulations to our students for their amazing work! I'll say it again, we have amazingly talented students at FUHS!

Thank you Ms. Conde and Ms. Hurtado for bearing the rain and taking our juniors on a field trip to Cal State Fullerton!

Celebrations

Kidz Bop Tour!

Congratulations to student Aleah Crew for being chosen as one of the Kidz Bop kids! She will soon be going on tour! Congratulations Aleah!

Staff of the Year

Congratulations to two amazing staff members for being nominated by their peers as two of our best! Congratulations to Mrs. Kerr and Mrs. Rodriguez! This school wouldn't be the same without you!

CIF Athletes of Character

CIF helps all high schools celebrate athletes of great character, integrity, and athleticism. Representing FUHS were Morgan McAndrew and David Williams! Congratulations to both!

Girls Water Polo:

The Girls water polo team started off this week with a hard fought game against Troy highschool. A game that is normally 40 minutes long stretched out to nearly 2 hours in double overtime. Playing this grueling match we fell 10-9 in sudden death. Our ladies though came back on Thursday for an outstanding match against Sonora winning 10-4. Before the match we honored our seniors Elizabeth Timmerman and Morgan McAndrew  who gave four years of their life to this program. They exemplified what it means to be part of the tribe and left a lasting legacy for the rest of the ladies to follow.

Boys Basketball:

Boys basketball finished the season on Thursday 2/1 with a loss at Buena Park. They finished the season with a 10-18 overall record. The JV and freshman teams finished their seasons with wins over Buena Park last night. Thank you to all the families, staff, and fans who came to support our teams this season.

Girls Basketball:

Girls basketball finished out league play with losses to both La Habra and Buena Park. Our girls finished the season with a record of 13-15. The most wins at Fullerton since the 2013-14 season. JV had a successful season, finishing with multiple league wins, their first in more than 4 years. The Freshman team ended their season last Friday, their first season in 4 years. They had a great first season that also resulted in a league win as well. Thank you everyone for all your support throughout the season, we can’t wait till next year.

Five minutes in Buena Park was had a penalty kick and scored. Three minutes later on a corner kick, they scored again. Fullerton was in a hole they couldn’t get out of even though Aiden Bengard scored on a pass from Misael Flores the team lost three to one and brought up a playoff game because three teams were tied for third place Sonora Buena Park and Fullerton a coin flip saw Fullerton get a buy Buena Park beat Sonora 6-0. As a result, Fullerton played Buena Park on Thursday at 5 o’clock Fullerton was in a 2-2 tie with both goals for Fullerton scored by Aiden Bengard assisted by Nathan Buhler and Nicholas Ponce. The score was tied at two each and went into sudden death overtime after two sudden death overtimes with the score still tied at two both teams went into penalty kicks after seven shooters Buena Park won 6-5 on penalty kicks.
