Athletics Review April 4th - 8th
Baseball: With one loss last week the TRIBE came back with a vengeance and took two games from La Habra. On Wednesday the boys won 1-0 at La Habra. Then the boys improved their performance with another win over La Habra today 6-1. The Baseball Team is now 7-2 in league standings and have an overall record of 13-4. Seven more games and then its play-off time. Don’t forget to join us at the Big A on Thursday, April 14 at 6pm for the Halo Classic against Troy H.S. Fullerton will be the home team so come out in your Fullerton Red and show everyone what a TRIBE RALLY is.

Softball: The Softball Team had three games this week due to a rainout last week. The regular schedule had the TRIBE playing Buena Park and Troy. The girls beat Buena Park in extra innings 9-8. Then in the make-up game the team lost to Sonora 1-9. With the third game in three days, the team traveled to Troy and lost 4-7. The girls look to bounce back next week against Sunny Hills and Sonora. Come cheer on the girls as we get closer to the end of the season.

Boys Volleyball: Boys Volleyball played Sunny Hills and Sonora this week losing both games. Although the outcome isn’t what we wanted, the boys are improving and continuing to fight for the TRIBE. Next week the boys take on La Habra and Buena Park, both games are away.

Track: This week the track team was back into league action having a four-way meet with La Habra, Troy and Sunny Hills. The results are as follows for the boys: Fullerton v. La Habra: 89 - 27 (Win) Fullerton v. Troy: 38 - 88 (Loss) Fullerton v. Sunny Hills: 52 - 75 (Loss) Dual Meet Record through April 5th: 1 win, 2 losses. For the girls: Fullerton v. La Habra: 89 - 33 (Win) Fullerton v. Sunny Hills: 61 - 57 (Win) Fullerton v. Troy: 32.5 - 90.5 (Loss) Dual meet record through April 5th: 2 wins, 1 loss. Come see our next Quad-Meet on April 12 at 2:45pm and also come see our Distance Carnival on April 16th at 4pm.

Swim: In Diving this week, Abigail Ekstrom took second place in the Santa Margarita Dive Meet, last Saturday. The Penn State commit is continuing her great performances in diving and is getting ready for the CIF

Golf: This week the Boys Golf team only had one game due to another team forfeiting their match to the TRIBE. The second match of the week put us against Troy. The boys lost a close contest 203 - 223. The boys continue to get better and the new putting green continues to get closer to completion.

Boys Tennis: This week Boys Tennis lost to a strong Troy team 4 - 14. However, the boys didn’t let that bump in the road keep them down. The next match was against Sonora and the boys pulled out a 14 - 4 victory. Next week the team takes on La Habra and Buena Park, both matches are away. In two weeks league finals will be held at Sunny Hills High School to determine Freeway League Champions. GO TRIBE!
