Cheer, Song, & STUNT:

Our STUNT home game is just around the corner! Join us on Tuesday, April 9th at the FUHS gym for our game against OLU at 5:00pm and San Clemente at 7:00pm!

Song tryouts are April 24 & 25. Cheer tryouts are May 1 - 3. See our team website for more information.

Baseball

Our Baseball team had a great week sweeping Sunny Hills in back-to-back days of games. The TRIBE has clinched the Fullerton City Championship by beating both Sunny Hills and Troy in all four games. The boys are now 4-0 in Freeway League play.

In special news this week, Fullerton Baseball’s Malachi Meni was named Orange County Boys Athlete of the Week. Congratulation to Malachi on earning this honor.

Softball

Fullerton Tribe Softball Dominates Early League Play

The Fullerton Tribe Softball team is off to a scorching start in league play, winning all four of their opening games by a combined score of 26-2 versus their opponents. Their pitching has been lights-out, with a combined ERA of practically zero (.083) and just 7 walks allowed.

At the plate, the Tribe is smashing the ball. Sophomore Hailey Brock leads the way with a blistering .571 batting average, followed closely by senior Zoey Bautista (.538) and senior Ava Pacquin (.500).

Here's a breakdown of the pitching dominance:

Sophomore Malaya Majam-Finch: Undefeated in 3 games with a 0.00 ERA and 17 strikeouts.

Freshman Kaitlyn Matthews: Another perfect ERA, 1 win (0.00) with 9 strikeouts.

Senior Tianna Salcido: Strong outing with a 2.3 ERA and 3 strikeouts.

This past week, the Tribe mercied Sonora High School 11-0 and defeated La Habra 5-1. Look for them to continue their dominance as league play progresses!

Next week, Tribe Softball continues with a home game on Wednesday, 4/10 versus Buena Park at 3:30pm, and they’ll be on the road against Troy High School on Friday, 4/12 at 3:30pm. Come out and support your TRIBE!!

Softball Facilities Update:

We wanted to continue sharing the beautiful field and athletic areas of Fullerton and this is what our CIF-SS Regional Div. 3 Championship Softball Field looks like. Please come and enjoy a game and have a seat on the grass.

Boys Volleyball

Our boys volleyball team continued their hot streak in league play this week, by beating Buena Park, 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-14), on Tuesday to complete the perfect record of 5-0 in the first round of league play. The 2nd round started on Thursday at home versus Troy. The boys won the first 2 sets rather easily, 25-13, 25-15, but Troy was not going down without a fight. Troy mounted a fierce comeback to take sets 3 and 4, forcing a deciding game 5, winner take all. The boys came out with a fast start, scoring 5 straight points to open the 5th set, and never looked back, winning the set 15-8, closing out the game, 3-2. With that win, the boys are now 6-0 in league, 17-7 overall, and have clinched a spot in the CIF playoffs. The boys are still ranked #4 in their CIF division. Next week will be a big week, with our boys at Sunny Hills on Tuesday, the only other team remaining in the hunt for the league title. Thursday will be a special night as we honor our seniors for their contribution to our program. Go Tribe.

Tennis

FUHS Boys Tennis beat Buena Park in this week’s firs match by winning 15-3. Singles players Tim Chung and Ben Villalobos continued their dominance this season, winning all 6 sets played. The doubles team of Sprague/Park, Bek/McWatters, and Esterson/Krishnan also did well, winning all 8 sets played. To round off the match, Diego Gomez contributed 1 point to the team.

On Thusday our Boys Varsity team fells to Troy, 5-13. Singles player, Ben Villalobos, won 2 of 3 contests. The highlight of the day is singles player, Tim Chung, who not only won all 3 of his contests, but he outplayed and beat Troy's number one with the score of 7-5. Next up, Sunny Hills.

Swim & Dive

Swim and Dive came out strong this week against the Sonora Raiders. Boys Varsity and JV both won their meets by over 50 points! The girls' varsity had some amazing times but unfortunately fell by 8 points. Justin Pearson destroyed the competition butterfly. William Cazares took first in the 200 Freestyle with ease. Meanwhile, Toby Swanson lapped his adversary in the 500 Freestyle.
