Hello FUHS Families!

Our seniors are done! Seniors enjoyed their last day of school today! This four year journey has been a roller coaster! For our seniors not one year was normal and now here we are getting ready to step into adulthood! The class of 2022 will be greatly missed! Next week we have Graduation Rehearsal on Tuesday, then Wednesday, Senior Breakfast and Graduation at 7pm.

Finals are next week for our 9th-11th graders, May 31st-June 2nd. Please make sure that any last minute questions or concerns are taken care of with our teachers. Look up your student's grades on your Aeries Portal.

Celebrations
The Henry Ford’s Innovation Nation Teacher Innovator Award recognizes teachers who inspire students to challenge the rules and take risks, who demonstrate how to be collaborative and empathetic, and who teach the value of learning by staying curious and learning from failure. Congratulations to Mr. Jim Pitochelli who just received this award for his involvement with the BEAST program! We do have some amazing educators at FUHS!
Tribe Pride!
I am excited to celebrate Mr. Garcia today for being promoted and given the opportunity to serve as the new Principal of La Habra High School! Mr. Garcia has given a lot of himself to the Fullerton Community for almost seven years and he will be greatly missed!

Congratulations Mr. Garcia! La Habra is lucky to have you!

Athletic Review - May 21-27, 2022
Baseball: Last Saturday our Boys played a great Championship game at Cal State Fullerton vs. Tesoro High School. The pitching was strong on both sides, but in the end the Tribe fell in a 0-3 loss. We are all very proud of our boys! They battled until the end! Fullerton Baseball has not been to the Championships in 40 years! This team is definitely exceptional! BUT....we're not done yet! We have qualified and moved on to State Playoffs! We will find out who we play against this weekend! Stay tuned!

As the formal school year comes to a close and with the beginning of the Summer Session nearly upon us, we wanted to remind all staff, students and families that the District remains under the Governor's’ Public Health Order. This Order requires all staff members to either show proof of full vaccination status or to test on a weekly basis. The Order also extends into the Summer Session, so all staff who are working during the Summer Session or who are year-round staff, that are required to test weekly, will continue to do during the Summer Session.

The District also remains under AB86 which regulates that districts notify the local health jurisdictions of positive cases. The District works with site administration and the Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA) with notification and monitoring that current protocols are being met. While contract tracing is no longer required, known positive cases are reported to the OCHCA and any recommended action or protocols are followed. The District will continue to adhere to this practice during the Summer Session.

It is important to note that during the remainder of the school year and for the duration of the Summer Session that Exposed students are STRONGLY recommended to mask following the 10 days from their exposure date. It is also important to note that Exposed Staff are required to mask following the 10 days from their exposure date.

Thank you for your continued partnership. We hope everyone has a close to our school year, our senior families have wonderful celebrations, and for those taking summer school, we will see you soon!
