Speech and Debate
This past weekend, some of our debaters competed at the Western JV Novice Championship! In Junior Varsity Lincoln Douglas, Audrey Bae went undefeated in the preliminary rounds and advanced to the elimination rounds, where she swept the competition and championed the tournament.
JROTC
The Military Ball was hosted this year by the West Covina High School Air Force JROTC and
it was held outside in their quad. The focus of the night was honoring "The Greatest Generation".
Two veterans of WWII were the guest speakers. This year's Queen was Cadet LTC Hannah Ramos and King Cadet Major Aaron Sim.

Congratulations to our JROTC! We are so glad you were able to celebrate this event this year!
ASB Getting Ready to Lead!
Our ASB is always full of excitement and getting ready for the next best event but they also need to learn, bond, and expand their experiences. This Friday all of the ASB groups in our district got together to do just that! It was an exciting day for all! Thank you Sonora High School for hosting!
ASB is also getting ready to start planning some fun activities for next year! Let's congratulate the three top leaders for the 22-23 School Year!!

Athletics Review March 12th-18th
Baseball: This past Friday, Fullerton traveled to cross town rival Troy High School for their first league match-up of the season. Starting pitchers, Fullerton's Junior Matthew Carbajal vs. Brian Ribbe from Troy.  Fullerton Varsity went in 4-0 in league play against Sunny Hills on Wednesday, March 16. Unfortunately after a tough game, our boys lost to SHHS, giving us a 4-1 record in league. Friday, Fullerton starts the Anaheim Lions tournament, where we will host games Friday, Saturday, and Monday through Wednesday during Spring Break. Congrats to the team for a great start to their season, come support them next week.

Softball had another good week going 2-1 with wins against Ocean View (12-6) and Calvary Chapel (9-8) The girls are now 14-3 going into spring break and soon starting league play. Great job girls!

Boys Volleyball split their games this week losing to Sonora but bouncing back to beat La Habra 3-0. The boys JV also beat La Habra in straight sets 2-0. Great job boys!

Track: This year’s 31st Annual Jim Thompson Track & Field City Championship meet piloted a new format. In years past, the meet ran a traditional event schedule, but the coaches decided to make it an all relay meet except for elimination of the mile. Troy and Sunny Hills both field strong teams but the TRIBE hung right in there. Overall, this meet was a success! We are looking to perfecting this format for 2023! In our league meet this week team scores were not kept for this league tri meet. This meet only served as a way for athletes to qualify individually for League Prelims. Our athletes performed well and gave it their all walking away with some medals. Great job team!

The Swim team started league play this week and came out fast with victories over Sonora for Boys Varsity, Girls Varsity, Boys JV and Girls JV. Great job to everyone!

Boys Golf faced off against Santa Fe High School this week in back to back matches. Santa Fe took the match just edging out the TRIBE on strokes. However, the boys came back strong and beat Santa Fe by 12 strokes. Great job to the boys and Coach Marquez in getting back up and representing the TRIBE.

Boys Tennis started league play against Sonora and La Habra this week. The boys have been doing great and beat Sonora 15-3 and continue the winning with a win over La Habra 17-1.  Great job boys!

We're regaining our winning spirit at Fullerton Union! Make sure to come out and support our teams as we continue league play after Spring Break!

Fullerton College Information
FCC wanted to share some important flyers with upcoming events for our seniors who are planning to attend FC in Fall 2022.

Future Hornet Academy Wednesdays is a virtual set of workshops aimed to provide information on various Programs and Services on campus. Students do not need to attend all, but only the ones that interest them. The second page has program descriptions for all that are presenting. This event takes place on Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00pm in the months of March and the first half of April.

Virtual Counseling Sessions is an event to helps students meet with an FC counselor to receive their Educational Plan for the Fall 2022 semester. We will also have Financial Aid, along with Programs and Services on campus. This event happens in two hour blocks from April through Mid-June on Tues-Thurs in the afternoon and evenings. The student only needs to attend one session. If a student has completed COUN 140, they do NOT need to attend this event because they already have an Educational Plan.

Future Hornet Saturdays is an event in-person with virtual options that is a “one stop shop” for students to finish their matriculation steps, ask questions, and hear from Programs and Services on our campus. These take place on the first and third Saturdays of the month from 9:00am-12:00pm. Students do not need to stay the whole time. RSVPs are required as space is limited.
