Baseball: Last week during Spring Break, Fullerton Baseball went 4 and 1 in the Anaheim Lions Tournament, beating Paramount (12 to 1), California High (12 to 0), Damonte Ranch from Reno, NV (9 to 3), and El Rancho (5 to 4), losing only to McQueen High from Reno, NV (4 to 2). It was a solid week of baseball, playing 5 games in 6 days. Fantastic outing for our boys! This week, we started league play vs. the reigning Freeway League Champions, Sonora High School. In the top of the 1st inning, Sonora took an early lead. In the bottom of the 2nd inning, with bases loaded, pitcher Fany scored 2 more runs, Fullerton up 4 to 2. In the 5th inning with the game tied 6 to 6, Fany hands the ball to Junior pitcher Kyle Kim. Kim threw a scoreless 6th and 7th inning to secure the "WIN", 9-7 and keeping them on top of the Freeway League for a record of 5 and 1. Go Tribe! Fullerton will be away at Sonora on Friday, April 1.
Softball: Softball started league play this week but got rained out on Tuesday against Sonora. That game will be made up on Wednesday, April 6th at 3:15 at Sonora High School. Going into the second game of the week matched Fullerton against a strong La Habra Softball team. FUHS lost 1-9 in a touch match. The girls will bounce back next week ready to get back on the winning track.
Boys Volleyball: Boys Volleyball again spit their games this week beating Buena Park 3-0 and losing to Troy 0-3. The boys take the court next week against Sunny Hills and Sonora.
Track: This week the Track team got back into action taking on Cerritos High School. The TRIBE lost a close match for boys and girls teams. Next week the team resumes league matches with meets here at FUHS with Fullerton, Troy, La Habra and Sunny Hills all competing at the same time. What a big day it will be. GO TRIBE!
Swim: The Swim team continued its winning habit this week with all levels of boys and girls beating La Habra. The team keeps riding the wave this week against Buena Park at Buena Park.
Golf: Boys Golf played Sonora and La Habra this week losing both matches. Our new putting green and chipping area will be ready in a few weeks to go along with our new driving cages. Good things are coming.
Boys Tennis: Boys Tennis continued league play this week against Buena Park and Troy High School. The boys beat Buena Park 13-5 and lost to Troy 4-14. The boys continue play next week against Sunny Hills and Sonora.
