Cheer and Song:

Our Varsity squads traveled to watch our football team play against Sonora HS Friday night 10/13. We are excited to be home for the next two weeks! Our varsity squads are hard at work with our DP program to get our homecoming routine ready for the 27th! Can’t wait to see you all for a night of spooooky fun!

Tennis:

Congratulations to our Girls Varsity Tennis team finishing in 2nd place in the Freeway League. Our top players competed in the Freeway League Tennis Finals and our Doubles Tennis team claimed the Freeway League Doubles Championship. Congratulations to Christina Sfatcu and Rebecca Balarie for earning the 2023 Freeway Doubles Championship. All-League honors were also earned by Abigail Kelly, Hailey Kwok, and Kate Luengo. Congratulations to our 5 All-League Tennis players and to our Doubles Champions.

Cross Country:

The cross country team traveled to Mt. San Antonio College to compete in a long standing cross country tradition, the Mt. SAC Invitational. The freshman girls race kicked off first with Olivia Wilder leading the way and scoring 10th place overall. She was supported by Sofia Botimer, Kendall Duncan, Sam Scopis, and Keely Gallagher. The boys freshman race followed where the team scored 3rd place overall! This effort was led by Bo Sanderson and Leo Nguyen crossing the line at the exact same moment. The boys were closely followed by teammates Henry Burns, Jonah Moreno, and Byron Mendez. The sophomore girls also had great success as a team and secured 3rd place as a team in their race! Natalie Vasques led the charge and was closely followed by Miley Bases.

The next scoring runners in this race were Christina Hernandez, Emilie Sanchez, and Brooke Tanner. Sophomore boys raced next. Drake Bromley came in first for Fullerton and was supported by Blake Miyasato, Nico Martin, Arjun Kennington, and Dylan Juarez. Girls JV followed with Alexa Lopez and Matia Ornelas leading. They were supported by Karly Kakimoto, Vinny Suarez-Villalvazo, and Evelyn Arreola. Boys JV followed with Brendan Kojima and Adam Zibell representing Fullerton in this race. As the day finally began to cool down, girls varsity got on the line to race the iconic course in the individual sweepstakes race. Morgan McAndrew came in first for Fullerton and was succeeded by Reagan Glidewell. Sofia Tabbal, Azumi Fuertes, and Melina Sibal all scored points for Fullerton in this race.

The last race of this challenging course was boys varsity. Jack Golla led and was followed by Jude Banda and Maximiliano Olivar. Nathan Karcher and Ryan Leitner also scored in this race. With awards only being given to the top 15 in each race and the warm conditions, this invitational was both a mental and physical challenge that still ended in Fullerton securing some medals. The team has used this week to prepare for Freeway League Championships coming up this Wednesday, November 1st. Boys frosh soph and girls JV are hoping to defend their first place standing. The girls varsity team stands to defend its first place standing and boys varsity strives to advance from third place. The team has high aspirations and is looking forward to the competition.

Girls Golf:

Congratulations to the Girls Golf team finishing their season in third place in the Freeway League. Special honors go to freshman Olivia Woo in making it to the second day of league finals finishing in the top 10, and made the all league team. Finishing in the top 10 advances Olivia to the CIF playoffs to represent the TRIBE.

Boys Water Polo:

Boys Water Polo concluded their season this will with a third place finish in the Freeway League Carousel. The boys also celebrated their senior night saying farewell to Cross Artica, Angelo Crisostomo, Josiah Jessup and Christian Lawson. Thank you for all your hard work boys and best of luck in your future.
