Happy Friday FUHS Families!

We are ending the week with some wind today! I hope you have a great weekend with family and friends as we continue to navigate this pandemic. Please remember that we have take home COVID tests for our students. All you need to do is stop by the attendance windows and give us the name of your student. We are continuing to follow all updated guidance. Please see the Superintendent's latest memo below.

Many of our sports teams have had to reschedule some games. Please stay up to date on game dates and times by going to our athletic website! Our goal is to continue to have as many activities and events as possible while still following the guidelines necessary to keep our students and staff safe and healthy!

Teachers are also starting to input grades in Aeries! Remember to support your students by logging on and keeping track of their assignments and grades.

Athletics Review Jan. 17th to Jan 22nd

Boys Basketball: Boys Basketball had to reschedule a few games this week, but were able to play Sonora on Friday night. The Boys Varsity team will be playing against Troy on Monday at Troy.

Girls Basketball: Girls Varsity Basketball had to reschedule their game against Sunny Hills for a later date, but the Girls will play Sonora tonight at the PIT.

Boys Soccer: The last game of the first round in League was at Sunny Hills and it’s played on the school’s JV field. Both teams knew they were in for a battle and both teams are undefeated in League. The game turned out to be everything expected and more. It takes Sunny Hills only 10:00 minutes to come down the right side and cross the ball and score. Fullerton answered back in the 16:00 minute on a corner kick served up by Misael Gonzalez to Matt Ballin to tie the score. Eight minutes later, the Lancers score for the second time when the ball goes off the FUHS goal keeper’s hands. The half ends Sunny Hills up 2-1. In the second half Fullerton has chances on corner kicks but the ball sails just off mark. The Lancers don’t really get good shots on goal, but they keep Fullerton out of theirs and hold on to win 2-1. The next match between these two teams will be at Fullerton Stadium and will definitely be exciting. The boys took on Sonora High School this afternoon and beat the Raiders 5-0!! Job well done boys!

Girls Soccer: Girls Varsity soccer played against Sunny Hills and Sonora losing both games. Although the girls lost these games, we can see the improvement and they refuse to stop fighting for the TRIBE.
Girls Water Polo: Girls Varsity Water Polo took on Troy this week and won 15-8. The JV did just as well winning against Troy 16-9. The girls are on fire! Awesome job ladies!

Wrestling: Wrestling had a great week! Varsity Wrestling beat Troy 60-20 in league. The JV Wrestling team also beat Troy along with the Girls Wrestling team winning 18-6. Our Wrestling team has two matches home next week. We will be taking on Sunny Hills on Tuesday at 5:30pm and then taking on La Habra on Thursday at 6:30pm.

In accordance with the Center for Disease Control (CDC), CA Dept. of Public Health (CDPH), and Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA), we ask that you complete the Qualtrics survey each morning prior to arriving on campus. However, please do not attend school if you have experienced any COVID-related symptoms:

If you have received a COVID 19 test, do not attend school until you receive the results of that test and then only if you are negative for COVID 19.

Further, following the recommendations issued by the CDC, the CDPH has issued guidance in support of full in-person instruction and to as much instructional time as possible. A link to that guidance is included at the bottom of this communication.

Please note that masks will be required by all staff and students while indoors regardless of vaccinated status. As an extra precaution, FJUHSD is committed to continuing the enhanced cleaning procedures established to ensure that our schools are clean, sanitized, and safe. Further, temperatures will continue to be taken each morning.

  • All students and staff will complete a Qualtrics COVID Safety Survey each morning (the survey is sent to Student's school email).
