Dear FUHS Families,

We are excited to welcome you back to school this coming Monday, August 16, 2021, as we celebrate 128 years! Your students will now be part of our long-standing legacy of tradition and success and will forever be part of our Fullerton Family. Our teachers came together on Thursday and were busy with professional development sessions and trying to put their classrooms together to be ready for our students.
First Day of School 2021-2022
First Week of School
The first week of school will be one of excitement! On the first day, our students will be on a regular bell schedule so that they can meet all of their teachers and start getting to know each other. Students are able to view their schedule live on Aeries Portal. We will also have their 0 & 1st-period classes listed on the wall by the breezeway.
Counselors will be set up outside in the Academic Quad before school, after school, during break, and during lunch to help assist students this week.

Remember for those with Zero Period, late bell rings at 6:48am. For the rest of us, First Period begins at 7:50. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, we will be on an alternative schedule so that our LinkCrew can lead us into some fun activities and start off the year with great spirit! We will end the week with an assembly schedule so that we can have a Welcome Back rally in our new gym! We are excited to be able to have these activities for our students. We can't wait to have them back on campus!

COVID Entrance Procedures
Safety Procedures attending school during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • All students and staff will complete a Qualtrics COVID Safety Survey each morning (the survey will be sent to Student's school email).
  • Students will be directed to the central building breezeway as they enter campus where they will show their green checkmark from the completed survey permitting them to be on campus.
  • Students will walk through the thermal-imaging temperature cameras in the breezeway as they show their green Qualtrics survey checkmarks.
  • Face coverings (masks) are required inside and are optional while outside.
Yesterday we received the latest update from our Superintendent regarding the most recent CDPH Guidance and the new Public Health Order from our Governor. Please click here to view the Superintendent's letter. To view it or for more information, you may go to the district website for more information.

In accordance with the Center for Disease Control (CDC), CA Dept. of Public Health (CDPH), and Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA), we ask that you complete the Qualtrics survey each morning prior to arriving on campus. However, please do not attend school if you have experienced any COVID-related symptoms:
  • Flu-like symptoms such as fever of 100.4 or greater
  • Chills
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Runny or stuffy nose that is not associated with a pre-existing condition or other chronic health condition.

Further, following the recommendations issued by the CDC, the CDPH has issued guidance in support of full in-person instruction and to as much instructional time as possible. A link to that guidance is included at the bottom of this communication.

Please note that masks will be required by all staff and students while indoors regardless of vaccinated status. As an extra precaution, FJUHSD is committed to continuing the enhanced cleaning procedures established to ensure that our schools are clean, sanitized, and safe. Further, temperatures will continue to be taken each morning.
Drop-off / Pick-up / Parking
Traffic will be very heavy on the first few days of school. Please give yourselves enough time to drop off your student on time at school. Please notice the various areas of drop-off around our campus.
