It is one thing to be grateful. It's another to give thanks. Gratitude is what you feel. Thanksgiving is what you do.

WHITE

This week... students celebrated Thanksgiving with their family members coming to eat lunch with us on Thursday! We are also busy preparing for our Christmas play in December. Rowan Vapreda was our prayer and mass leader this week. Emmett Adams and Madison Barnes were mass servers. Only 2 school days left before our Thanksgiving break!

ASHCRAFT

We have taken some time the last few weeks to think about what we are thankful for and created writing pieces to reflect this. We have also been researching an animal of our choice to write an animal report about. We enjoyed reading with Mrs. Fields class for our November buddy get together!

RUNGE

This week in 2nd grade.....we have been busy learning about Ancient Greece. We are trying to finish it up before Christmas break! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Lunch with our families. Thank you to Miss Vicki and Miss Brittany and to their helpers who made it so nice!! In Social Studies, we are continuing to talk about cultures and customs.

JENNINGS

First graders make the best reading buddies! This week we’ve been practicing our phonics books with partners, focusing on those tricky S blends. From sl, sp, and st to sw and sm, our readers are working hard and cheering each other on.

RUPP

This week was an absolute blessing. The children worked so hard on their reading and writing pieces. I couldn't be more proud and thank you all for contributing to the book fair! I hope you have a very blessed weekend.

SUMMERS

We have been busy learning about the first Thanksgiving this week. Ask us about it!

MARCUM

We talked this week about Qq, the number 10, and finished off our week sharing a meal with those we love. We have so much to be thankful for! We loved counting together, learning about why the leaves change, and shopping the bookfair!

FIELDS

We explored the letter Q, created our very own queens, counted all the way to 10, and had a blast listening to our amazing guest readers—thank you so much for visiting us! We also loved cozying up with books and reading alongside our buddies in Mrs. Ashcraft’s classroom. It’s been a week full of learning, laughing, and lots of fun!

BARNETT

Our letter Q week was filled with great questions and even beat the teacher in the question game! We also played the quiet game with different instruments. We loved learning about bob white quails and making paper quilts!

ADAMS

Letter Q week was quick! We had a special Thanksgiving lunch. We learned about Bob White Quails, built and traced numbers 1-10, crafted quilts and painted with q-tips.

BAKER

This week we learned all about the letter Q—quacks, queens, and questions! We also loved spending some quality time with our families during our Thanksgiving lunch.
