Mayor For a Day


Five Hawks Elementary School fifth-grader Olivia Taylor is Prior Lake's latest Mayor for a Day. Olivia was the winner of the essay contest for her grade level. She opened and closed the March 20 City Council meeting and shared her "Multicultural Festival" essay.

Build a Raingarden


In partnership with the Scott County Soil and Water Conservation District, a free raingarden workshop is scheduled for Wed., April 12, 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at Spring Lake Township Hall, 20381 Fairlawn Ave., Prior Lake, MN 55372.

Free yard waste drop-off beginning this Sunday for Scott County residents. On Sundays through May you can drop-off yard waste at 1905 Mystic Lake Drive, Shakopee, MN 55379. (Drop-off is closed April 9 and May 28.)

Former Minnesota Golden Gophers football player Adam Weber shared his story of persevering through change with our Public Works crew. While he was quarterback for the Gophers, Weber experienced three different head coaches and five different offensive coordinators.
