The Bay Region Center of Excellence (COE) is excited to announce an upcoming report titled Priority Jobs in the Bay Region: Community College Programs Addressing Workforce Needs and Analyzing Student and Employee Demographics. This comprehensive report highlights key occupations and programs in the Bay Region, along with equity gaps in demographic representation.
The report focuses on the top 50 priority jobs in the Bay Region and equity gaps within these occupations based on age, gender, and race/ethnicity. Priority jobs meet the following criteria: (1) they are middle-skill occupations; (2) they have at least 350 average annual job openings in the Bay Region between 2023 to 2028; (3) their entry level hourly earnings is at or above the median living wage of $26 per hour; and (4) they typically require fewer than five years of work experience.
