Dear Friend of PAIR,

As summer continues to be underway, we are in need of counsel to take on both limited scope matters and full representation asylum cases.

No previous asylum experience is required! All pro bono attorneys are matched up with one of my wonderful staff attorney colleagues who provide step-by-step mentorship throughout the duration of the case.

August is a good month to take on a case so that logistics may be set up to substantively get started in the early fall.

Change of Address Tool Ends

For client changes of address, please be aware that the Change of Address tool is no longer available on the USCIS website. In order to submit a Change of Address online, a client must have an individual USCIS online account.

Even when there is counsel/an appearance has been entered for the client, some documents are still sent directly to the client instead of counsel.

As a result, it is important to ensure that your client's address is updated at all times.

There is also the option for counsel to mail the respective Change of Address forms directly:

• USCIS: Form AR-11
• EOIR: Form EOIR-33

PAIR's Detention Program Needs You!

PAIR's Detention Program is actively recruiting pro bono attorneys to handle bond and parole requests for immigrant detainees.

PAIR will provide close case mentoring and training on these detained matters.

Asylum (Asylum Office): PO (Nigeria) is a 36-year-old man who fled Nigeria due to the threats, violence, and shame he endured on account of his sexual orientation.

Asylum (Asylum Office): AK (Sierra Leone) is a 31-year-old man who was persecuted by the government on account of his political opinion and Temne identity.

Asylum (Asylum Office): DA (Jamaica) is a 26-year-old man who fled because of persecution he faced on account of his sexual orientation.
