The New Mexico State Bar Foundations Modest Means Helpline Offers Free High-Quality Legal Help to Underserved New Mexicans


The New Mexico State Bar Foundation’s Modest Means Helpline is currently open for callers in need of legal support and assistance. Serving New Mexicans with incomes below 500% of the federal poverty guidelines, the Modest Means Helpline is committed to the underrepresented in New Mexico. New Mexican residents can reach the Modest Means Helpline at 505-797-6013 or 888-857-9935.

New Mexico State Bar Foundation Legal Resources for the Elderly Program Legal Webinars


The Legal Resources for the Elderly Program ("LREP") conducts more than 20 workshops and legal clinics each year at senior centers throughout the state. LREP visits most counties in the state at least once a year and every county at least every two years. LREP also staffs exhibitor tables at numerous events statewide, including the Aging and Long-Term Services Division’s Conference on Aging and Senior Day at the Legislature. LREP also conducts monthly live webinars available for free to the general public. These webinars cover Powers of Attorney, Advance Health Care Directives, probate, non-probate transfers (including Transfer on Death Deeds) and Institutional Medicaid.
