FCLNY had a wonderful time participating in Buffalo's 48th Juneteenth festival last weekend!
What an amazing honor and opportunity to table at one of the longest running, second largest Juneteenth festivals in the country with an estimated 100,000 visitors! We interfaced and raised awareness of pro-life feminism in a diverse setting where many peaceful, engaging and friendly conversations took place! We distributed bags, t-shirts, stickers, resource indexes, educational brochures, and exchanged stories and productive conversation with various interested individuals and families.
Juneteenth is a federal holiday that takes place annually on June 19th, commemorating the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. It is also known to some as the country's "second Independence Day." We celebrate this holiday with our fellow Americans, recognizing the importance of affirming the intrinsic dignity of every human being, regardless of age, race, gender, circumstance, independence or ability.
FCLNY is working to establish our state and country's "third Independence Day," when unborn children, the aged, diseased, disabled, and guilty are all recognized as full members of the human family, worthy of the most basic human right: the right to life.
Thank you to all who came out to support, volunteer and visit with us this weekend! We are always grateful and excited to get involved and share our mission with friends, new and old!
