Giving Update!

Your generosity was incredible. We called our community to action for a mom in need, and you showed up and showed out.

We not only reached our goal, but we exceeded it! This means that we’re able to go above and beyond for this mom in need – helping her cover rent, and soften both holiday expenses for her son and January expenses, knowing the utility and heating bills are often high.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. This Giving Tuesday has truly encouraged and blessed us, at GCRTL.

As we approach the end of the year, slowing down to reflect on the birth of our Savior and all that abundant life means for each of us in 2026, we are trusting in God’s providence and the unmistakable generosity of our community to keep the momentum going and make sure that we are there for the next generation of moms

We can’t solve every problem or meet every immediate need, but we can sure try, and we plan to make a real impact in 2026. Any additional gifts given will help us realize our plans to revitalize and grow our sidewalk ministry program – meeting more moms in need exactly where they are – and create more awareness, education, and readiness around vital topics like the abortion pill, reversal, and pregnancy help.

Policy Update 12.4.25

Navigating Rapid Changes in Ohio and Beyond... As we move through this Advent season and prepare our hearts for Christmas and our minds for the year to come, our team continues to monitor and respond to the developments affecting life issues here in Ohio and across the country. The last few weeks have brought significant updates – some of which are encouraging, and some deeply concerning, which call on us to remain vigilant, prayerful, and united. Here is a bit of a roundup of some of the highlights...

Breaking News Update:

Several weeks ago, we shared with you the horrific news of a Toledo area physician whose medical license was suspended for fraudulently acquiring the abortion pill and forcing his girlfriend to take it, resulting in the death of their unborn child.

News has broken that on Wednesday, he was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury on six felony counts. They are Abduction (F3), Tampering with Evidence (F3), Unlawful Distribution of an abortion-inducing drug (F4), Disrupting public services (F4), Identify Fraud (F5), and Deception to obtain a dangerous drug (F5).

Notably missing from the list of indictments are any assault charges as well as the numerous Ohio laws under 2903 that relate to killing an unborn child by harming its mother. These range from Aggravated Murder, Murder, Voluntary & Involuntary Manslaughter, to various Assault charges.

Practically, these laws are distinct from the abortion laws and are related to cases where someone hurts the mother and kills or harms the unborn child. They are typically used in cases related to drunk driving, domestic violence, assault, etc.

We’ve not seen the full deliberations of the grand jury, and it is worth noting that the victim’s attorney notes that the present indictments do not mean that there are not more coming. We’ll continue to monitor this case.
