Hot Days & Summer Fun Across Our ProAct Sites
August was non-stop summer fun for ProAct participants!
Red Wing got creative with art, crafts and games. They also took fun trips to local parks, the zoo and county fairs. There was even time to stop for some delicious donuts in Cannon Falls!
In Hudson, participants stayed cool at the movies, checking out the new Pixar film Elemental. They also hopped across the river to Stillwater where they visited some animals at the pet store and experienced all things spooky at the Halloween Store. Animals Class had a great time creating an octopus, while Culture Club learned about Brazil.
In Shakopee, the Parks & Rec Class enjoyed the summer weather by hosting three picnics and playing some fun games. The Let's Go Fishing program was also able to hit the lake. What's more, Shakopee is excited to share two new clubs that started this month - the Library Club and Walk Club!
Finally, in Eagan, Gardening Class enjoyed the fruits of their labor and made fresh caprese salads using ingredients they’ve been growing all summer. Yum! Groups also took trips to Como Zoo, and for World Lizard Day, a group of reptile lovers took a trip to Snake Discovery. The Easy Drawing Class drew a Ferris wheel in honor of the Great Minnesota Get Together, and everyone enjoyed a special treat - donuts on a stick!
