IMPORTANT CHANGES IN PPDS & MPDS
|
|
Hello!
We're excited to announce the release of Police Priority Dispatch SystemTM v6.3.11 (1/22/2021) with this ProQA® v5.1.1.39 release. We've highlighted key updates and improvements below.
Of significant importance in PPDS® v6.3 are the very timely changes we've made to the Mental Disorder and Suicidal Person Protocols.
- After consulting with mental health experts, considering proposals for change, and reviewing the available research, we've made changes that allow agencies to better tailor their responses to violent behavior based on the subject’s actions, intentions, and history.
- Correspondingly, suicide triage now helps emergency dispatchers gather better information regarding a subject’s state of mind, history, and plans regarding suicide.
At the link below you can request the software download, release letter, and PPDS v6.3.11 Update Guide that will walk you through the changes. Also be sure to view the PPDS v6.3.11 Update Tutorial on the College for 30 minutes of CDE (see below).
