"Ben is the Top Dawg"

by Danyelle Reese

Let's celebrate a remarkable achievement! Ben Quint from Department 260 has been honored as this month's Best of ProTec. The Community Manager at La Costa Village has shared glowing feedback about Ben's exceptional performance and outstanding communication skills. Ben's commitment to exceeding expectations shines through, as he consistently provides more than what's asked for. His efforts reflect positively on the board, demonstrating exceptional value for their investment. Terms like "Totally awesome," "outstanding work ethic," "Mr. Efficient," and "Top Dawg" all aptly describe Ben's contributions. ProTec takes immense pride in having such a dedicated team member like Ben. Congratulations, Ben, on this well-deserved recognition!

ProTec Huddles

by Dave Rauch

If you've noticed small groups of ProTecians gathering in the mornings near our office, those are our huddles. We've been holding this for six years. If you're familiar with football, huddles will make sense – a quick strategy session before the next play or day in our case.

Just as in football, we use huddles to coordinate. They're about rapid information sharing, positive starts to the day, team check-ins, spreading important news broadly, and seeking help when needed. A key benefit is that it compels everyone, including leaders, to identify the single most important task for the day. This streamlines productivity, especially for busy leaders juggling multiple responsibilities. In essence, our morning huddles are a playbook for communication, alignment, and productivity, much like football's coordinated plays.

These brief, standing huddles take no more than 15 minutes to maintain efficiency. They're not for sharing schedules or casual conversations – the focus is on quick, meaningful exchanges. And keep an eye out for an upcoming ALL COMPANY monthly huddle, uniting our entire 420-strong ProTec team!

Tropical Storm Watch

by Caleb Henry

As mentioned in the emails sent to our clients earlier today, Southern California is currently under a Tropical Storm watch that extends through the weekend. Hurricane Hilary is tracking north along the Baja California Peninsula, anticipated to bring substantial rainfall, thunderstorms, and strong winds to the region. Your safety remains our utmost concern, and we kindly urge you to stay informed about updates regarding the storm and ensure you and your families are safe.

Given the projected intensity of the upcoming wind and rain, we are anticipating a notable increase in emergency calls over the weekend and into the following week. It is crucial that you maintain communication with your managers regarding this event and ensure that, should you be called upon, you exercise sound judgment. Our top priority is everyone's safety, and we are committed to preventing anyone from being placed in an unsafe situation.
